If you guys are still hyped for the system I think you will be pleased after monday. Everything I'm hearing is that there will be a ton of games.

I'm the #PS4NoDRM guy so I'll be off fighting the consumer fight... but I understand that not everyone cares as much about that stuff and figured you guys could use some good news :)

I love the vita so I know what it's like hanging around here liking a system that gets shit on 24/7 :)

Thanks man, it's nice to get some love lol and not be the bad guy for liking the X1 still

I'm still interested in the XB1. The only thing that upset me was the possibility the gpu gets down clocked but that is still only a rumour. I'm okay with the DRM on this system.

I'm honestly shocked at all the internet outrage.

I'm good with DRM as long as it destroys every possibility that some noobs can use an X-Key or something like that on the box in order to play everything for free.

If you don't like to buy games then stop being a gamer asshole!

I'm so glad I got to post on GAF right before E3.
Next week will be glorious. Sounds like we won't even be able to handle all those announcements.

I'm going to renew my Gold Subscription, is this a good deal?

I'm not letting it get to me that much, but I really hope that the GPU doesn't get downclocked. I want them to have as much graphical horsepower as possible to utilize :(

Edit: Let me find the one I'm looking for in particular.
Edit 2: Can't seem to find it. But it looks like a 7870 should be able to handle itself if BF4 is similar to BF3. Maybe we will get 60fps with 64 players.

The consoles should be able to atleast do 64 players now.
60fps?

I can only hope for the "next-gen" systems

I see you are a non-believer in the cloud >_>

Do you think that a couple of posters represent thousands of posters on GAF?

Hint: they don't.

I don't know how big it would have gotten before the lock. If you look at the Forza 60fps thread you had 3+ pages of posters misrepresenting the article in the OP and straight making stuff up. Then it took a reporter, a community manager, a developer, and then a second reporter confirming that the game was going to run @ 1080p 60fps. There is a definite mob mentality right now and if you try to offer a dissenting opinion or some facts that challenge the naritive your shouted down by the mob.

Okay, here's the list so far.

I'm down, if previous mentioned issues can be resolved.

I'm in. Are we going to PM a link a day before hand?

I'm down.

Yup, that much. Last time i can't even log in, maybe because i didn't remember my account to xD

I'm game.

Ok, I'll do it. Sign me up.

Yup, as long as there are no trolls.

I'm interested if it's moderated. There are people that want to see boos and jeers at this conference that would have no problem supplying their own if allowed. As long as it can be kept civil I'm all for it.

Same here.

wat is it tho

I'd be interested.

I'm down for this, can you please hook me up?

Get me in it please

Oh i'm interested,PM me thanks

color me interested, btw :)

I'm in, or at least I will try to be, could end up being a crazy day for me. So Hyped!

I'll join in.

Count me in

I'm travelling for work that day, but would love to pop in when I've got time.

....

If you're missing or would like to be added, let me know.

interesting. anyone know if i can download the digital version of a game when a retail copy is registered to my account ?

From my understanding of how it works I would say that the only difference between buying from Xbox Live or from a store is that you get a disc that can install the game. Otherwise you have the exact same game/functionality as if you bought on Live. In addition you get the whole trade-in/gift to a friend stuff as well.

Which is why I'll still be going disc primarily. I do not want to download a game that could reach maximum 50 gigs in size...I don't care how fast xbl has been for me in the past. Also factor in the limited space on the hard drive and that it can't be removed/upgraded. I'll be deleting so many games to make space after 3-4 years that I'm going to want those discs to save on time when i want to go back to an oldie.

I don't think you have a choice (regarding the space games take up on a console). It seems that XB1 discs are just a vehicle that give you access to the digital version of the software. You're not meant to play off the disc. You're always meant to install the digital version of the disc and then play. Except instead of downloading that digital content from a server, you install an image of the software from the disc straight to your hard drive. Isn't that how XB1 works? That's why I'm partially excited about the DRM news. If we consider XB1 to be a console that operates purely with digital content, then the DRM seems pretty damn lenient in my eyes.

One thing that I like is that games can be played as soon as you put a disc in. In other words, games can be played during the installation. So installations are mandatory, but if you're running out of space and you find you have to delete disc images and swap discs often, there is zero wait time, since games are playable the moment installation starts.

That thread, especially page 1, was incredibly embarrassing.

Interesting, but pointless if the digital price is the same or higher than retail.

What will be telling is if Microsoft has given publishers the right to alter prices of their digital games at will.

Oh i'm well aware they're just install discs. I'm buying the discs so I can delete my copy of Forza 5 when I'm done playing it but will have the option to reinstall off that disc years later if I want to play again. It's that or buy digital...delete it then years later have to redownload a 25-50 gig game every time I wanna nostalgia trip.

Why don't you just go digital then? There's a reason people go physical, and it's not because they want digital.

That's what I said I will do, if the price is the same.
I would do it more already, but most games release on physical first and are only available later on digital.

They are going to need the greatest e3 showing in the history of this business to turn this around now. It's going to take a lot of shiny things to distract from the complete shambles of reveal to the blundering drm/online check ups confirmation.

You know, even for a core gamer, they care or even hate it doesn't mean they 100% won't buy it if they notice a game really wanna play
Customers usually con't hold their hands, that's why MS don't give a fuck about drm meltdown because it seems they very confidence about their exclusives

You don't have a choice. Everything is digital. The discs act as a means to validate you actually own it and that is about all. You don't play the game off the disc. The game is downloaded onto your HD.

Similar to on PC. You download the entire game onto your hard drive and don't need the disc anymore technically if you by disc based PC games.

That's a big gamble they're making, though. It makes things even more interesting. ^^
