When was the last time a Nintendo home system had so many big name games being released in such a short period of time as this?
Splinter Cell, Batman, Assassin's Creed, Watch_Dogs, Mario & Sonic, Call of Duty, Donkey Kong Country, Zelda, Sonic, Mario 3D, Wii Fit...
...how the hell did this happen?
EDIT: If it's not too much trouble, how about a link to a trailer below each game?

It is certainly a pretty stellar lineup- I'm baffled that some people consider that a "Wasteland".
All I can think of is the piss poor advertising. I've pretty much decided to stick with my Wii U/3ds this gen. If third parties don't bring their games to these consoles in full, they won't get my money.
It is a comparison thing, not a bad line up but kind of paltry compared to the other systems.
Than make sure you buy all the core third party games for Wii U.
Only way for the Wii U to get at least decent third party support is if the games sell, and the console sells.
Deus Ex, Watch Dogs, AC4, SC: Blacklist and Batman: AO all preordered. I also own ME3, ZombiU, AC3, Darksiders 2 and Batman: AC. Did I do good third parties???
I think its a pretty consistent list for a platform not a year old.
...so we can blame you when Activision bails. Good job.
I don't own any Activision games either since they're not on the eShop
Indeed, that's a surprisingly big lineup, if you look at it as a whole.
The problem for next year is that we can already start removing almost all Ubisoft and Warner Bros. efforts from the lineup :lol
I first noticed it this week. Wasn't there a couple weeks ago.Deus Ex HR DC is listed on the eshop as coming soon. Is this new or was it already there?
Edit - Can someone please answer this.

A couple smaller online merchants list it for August 27th. We'll see if that ends up being true.
You mean COD? NOPE not buying it. Hate the shit out of that franchise. Sorry......
Yeh the only reason I would consider it really is for the split-screen multi. I'm not interested in the 'Campaign' or online.

So far we know of the following Wii U games from Nintendo in 2014 already:
Bayonetta 2
Mario Kart 8
Yarn Yoshi
X
Super Smash Bros
Mario & Sonic (only likely published by Nintendo in JP as in previous entries, it's in the Nintendo-published section of the press site though)
SMT X Fire Emblem (no mention but surely it's in 2014)
When is Wii Party U and Wii Fit U out again?
So the list above shows 8 Nintendo-published games already known for 2014, how many is there this year? I REALLY doubt we'll get a last minute surprise, we surely know every single game from Nintendo coming out from now til Dec 31st.
For 3DS all we know for next year is Mario Golf World Tour and Yoshi's New Island (Year of Yoshi next year? SMW came out in 1990 so it's not a big anniversary), and also the final Layton game and Bravely Default for NA and EU.

That's good.
I'm still angry that the Wii U isn't getting KH3, I'm getting a PS4 so it doesn't really matter but it still feels like a punch in the face after how much we supported Square.
I played all the games on PC. I'll double dip on Wii U once I can get it for $20 or less. Surprised that's not possible already, but I guess there just aren't that many copies out there.I know Captain Smoker already answered, and said he just forgot it.
But I have to ask, why would anyone want to spend time and money on a game that 1. is the last game in a Trilogy and 2. will be the ONE AND ONLY game in the Mass Effect universe they will ever get on Wii U.
I'd place that time and money on some game/series where I now I'll get more.
I'm getting angry at the PR bullshit about Wii U not being a viable platform. Really 3rd parties, XBONE/PS4 is more viable at the moment?!? These consoles aren't even out yet!

Did they announce when they'd be adding the Art Academy stuff to MiiVerse?
Summer update?
Seeing the lineup on the first page has easily, easily solidified my purchase of my Wii U. This year is going to be awesome and next year even more so.
These system is going to be insane in a few years to boot.
I already blocked out Art academy from my memory. Could this be Nintendo's F2P game?
A hat in time looks incredible.. Hope it happens.. Also i still hope shadow of the eternals smehow gets made.Probably worthy of a thread in itself, but I'd like to see more lipservice paid to Wii U's huge indie lineup (beyond just Project Cars). Stuff like Two Brothers, 1001 Spikes, The 90s Arcade Racer, Shovel Knight, Road Redemption, Unepic, Scram Kitty, Pier Solar HD, Cloudberry Kingdom, Tengami, QUBE, Guns of Icarus Online, Craymore, Rex Rocket, A.N.N.E., Super Ubie Land, C-Wars, Oddworld New N Tasty and so many more really look fantastic. I'm anticipating some of them as much as any of the big stuff from Nintendo or traditional publishers. Sort of like Vita, it seems that indies are really where the energy is for Wii U for 3rd parties.
Established 3rd parties are also finally starting to delve into eShop with some worthwhile efforts too (DuckTales Remastered, D&D Chronicles of Mystara, Pac-Man Museum). I hope that trend continues as well.
Um, that's a very good possibility. That game sorta fits the F2P model perfectly.
