I just watched Bake and Nise and pretty much made do with those the best I could. It worked well enough for me. Im sure Im missing some information but it probably aint much.
To be honest though, aside from enjoying the shows I couldnt really explain what went on very well to another person lol.
Damn. that kinda sucks. Bake is awesome but its just not Genshiken without Kujibiki
I don't think we'll ever get that magical moment ever again
Do people put Katanagatari together with the other -monogatari books? I always figured that were completely separate other than the -gatari ending.

Ah well, I guess that explains the exposition and the dialogue. I guess I assumed it was like Denpa Onna where the author wasn't the same, but they both had off-beat dialogue.

Its going to take a bit to get use to the new voice actors but otherwise this is the same Genshiken I know and love. The Bake references were a little weird though.

Awesome. I'll continue singing Prisma Illya's praises until the end of days.
Ill probably end up getting this despite my hangups with the character design. Because its cute mahou shoujo. Its heart is in the right place.
So many mixed messages with this new show. Ill just have to see for myself. (whenever that is)
Those were all there in the original manga too, for what it's worth.
My Genshiken history is weird -- I've never fully read the original series or watched the first two seasons, yet I'm following the Nidaime manga. So I don't have much to compare it too but I though it was alright.
Also, this:
got me good. Love a bit of fourth-wall breaking, even if in just the preview.

Hopefully thats true. They have so much enthusiasm for this project theres almost no way it wont happen.

I think the writers have really lost the plot now that Steve Carell is gone. How did we end up in Japan all of a sudden? Well it was still enjoyable I guess either and Jim is still his usual douchey self. He and this new Lucy girl seemed to hit it off. I can already see the writers forcing another love triangle into the the Jim and Pam relationship. How many times does that make it? And it seems like Pam isn't even around anymore! Poor Pam.

Cant wait to hear new music and if they can get Nothing's Carved in Stone again.
And if it can be an origin story focusing on initial period of developing and implementing the Sybil system.
