Everything so far in the past 10 hours of gametime has been pretty normal to me. I mean QTEs are dumb but they're implemented in a way that stays under my tolerance. That's my only complaint really so far.

Uncharted 2 has better cutscenes, Tomb Raider has better gameplay.

lol fuck that game man I liked it but replayability was ruined with not being able to skip the damn cut-scenes... SMH forever... at 25gbs.. will never reinstall..

It's the same damn game just reskinned. How do people not see this?! I finished the game, but man did it drag on and the MP is complete shit. TLoU is honestly the best TPS game I have played on the console and probably period. Not to mention that MP is tits.
Tomb Raider had potential, I even bought it on a not so cheap sale(like $10 off) and while I played it because I loved the series it retains damn near nothing of what made the original franchise great.
In other news, how do the Legacy of Kain games hold up? I haven't played the series since Blood Omen II

Max Payne 3 plays a lot better than the second game. More movement options and the introduction of cover works well but doesn't throw the balance off (went one playthough without ever using it outside of the office section with the gunner)

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Currently custom profile backgrounds in Enhanced Steam are offline after a user decided to use the existing system to exploit the database.
This would fix that by requiring users, when saving their choice of custom background, to authenticate through Steam to do so.
I'm playing FFVII for the first time right now
Well, I am already paranoid about Enhanced Steam!....... But I am a bit like that with browser addons and because the source code is available I do not see why you should not add the feature.
Well, I could not possibly disagree with this more. Assassin's Creed 1 is one of the worst games I've ever played, Uncharted was awesome.

one thing i feel TR did better than UC too is immersing yourself into its world. Including notes and stuff throughout the island, a seemless island to explore(if you call it exploring), having fireplaces to go to (like dark souls).

Agreed, I think most cover systems in TPS's are pretty clunky. Although, TR has pretty good one.

the qtes aren't even that bad. The best QTEs is where the only thing that happens if you miss them is you have to do something differently. Like press a qte to jump a breaking bridge, if you miss, you fall underneath and have to fight dudes instead of skipping them entirely. That's good qte.
also it doesn't really hand hold you that much but it's fairly generous on the platforming, which I don't mind actually. If I am 5 inches off or something I do not want to fall to my death and have to restart, and sometimes do this several times. This is infuriating. I would rather it shift me a little bit and allow me to make the jump and continue the flow of the game instead of interrupting it because I jumped slightly too early or something. Fuck that archaic shit. Ain't no one got time for that.
Also gore and violence is hot. Frankly it needs more before it hits any kind of gross factor with me. Like I was hoping she would cauterize the old dude's leg wound with her torch :3

FFVI for life, although I enjoy most of the Final Fantasy games. Even XIII because of the incredibly fun battle system and vibrant color pallet.
Only FF game I'm kind of meh on is FFII, I have bad experiences with the SaGa games though. Battle system is just super weird, hit your own allies to get more health! And obviously launch FFXIV

I got FFVI on the shelf behind me in both SNES and GBA versions.
FFVI is my 4th favorite GOAT.
FF13 is up there with "worst games I've ever played". Loved the battle system, though.

it's cool man, opinions are opinions, it's just really not my cup of tea and something that is very easy for me to point at when asked "what games do you not like".
there's no such thing as good QTEs as far as im concerend, and this certainly arent them
and as for the violence porn, I dont care about violence in games that are violent. What I dont understand is how this game is fucking tame as shit and suddenly IMPALED BY A STICK IN THE NECK OVER AND OVER LETS SEE THAT AGAIN. It's unnecessary within the context.
