Keep in mind, to buy the cart now means jack shit. Nintendo won't see a dime from that money. Only collectors.

But between this extra cost and the cost you pay to upgrade Wii U VC titles, I can tell Nintendo fans LOVE giving Nintendo money every chance they get, even if it isn't needed.

The original being old and limited means that a legal way to play it has inherently more value than it does for a game where you can get an original cart for six bucks on Ebay.
