Okay so since EviLore has said he's coming to London I thought it would be a good idea to set up a thread for a mini meet, mainly so we don't spam the BritGaf thread and piss off those who can't come.

Time and venue:-

6:30-7pm
Metropolitan Bar
7 Station Approach Marylebone Rd, London

Yes it is a Wetherspoons so snobs turn back now. No dress code, cheap booze and food, win win win.

Nearest tube: Baker Street

After: No set plans so whatever takes our fancy on the night! Plenty of clubs in the near vicinity.

If you need someone to come get you from a station, help you on escalators etc just let us know and either me or Mike will come get you :)
 
I'm going to have to be a maybe this time. If I come it will be a flying visit because I have a wedding to attend the next day which I have to wake up at 6am for. D:
 
I just PMed Evilore with a thread link. I'm looking at train times now, I can get into London at 17:40 on Friday. How does that work out for you guys?

What time are you getting there Mike?

When do you finish graft on a Friday Musha?

I finish at 5:30, add on time for getting ready. You coming in to King's Cross?

Sweet. Yeah, I should be coming in to kings cross. I could really do with dropping my stuff off at yours this time though! If you finish 10 minutes before I get in to KX, how easy is it for you to meet me after work?

Well as I said I'll be getting ready when I finish work, so I'll be out of there about 5:50 ish. The only problem is it's a 25min tube journey then 10min walk to my flat, so dropping your stuff at mine would mean not getting back in to town until 7:15-7:30 what with waiting around for trains. How about I promise to carry your bag for you all night?
 
I will join ya gotta make up for my pathetic showing at the last meet, finish work at 5 so i can probably be at Waterloo for 6.30ish.

Buy a new flat.

It wasn't so bad last time, just leaving it on the seat in De Hems, then sticking it in the cloak room at Borderline. But if we're going round a few places, it could be a bit of a nightmare!

Come on Musha, meet me somewhere after work, go home to get ready, we'll be back out of the door by 6:30 ready to meet Mike. You know it makes sense!

You get in to KC at 5:40, which is a further 10-15 mins, so if I come meet you there, we won't get back to my flat till 6:30 at the very earliest, then I have to get ready, so we won't get back to town as I said till 7:15-7:30. If I have to go meet people that is not good.

I'll consider it if you can get an earlier train.
 
Oh yeah, I can get an earlier train, no bother. I can be there waiting if you want, so we can shoot straight off, or even meet you if it'll be quicker.

I'll check out some earlier trains this afternoon.

There's one that'll get you in to KC at 4:43. I can finish work an hour early and come get you. That'll give us enough time to get back, get ready and get back in to town well in time for 6:30.

Before I book up, are we planning on hanging out Saturday too? I can head back Saturday evening or Sunday morning, I'm easy either way.

I have a family thing Sunday but I'm free Saturday, so you can head back Sunday morning. There's a cheap train at 10:20.

I hope you know I'm living like a pauper for the rest of the month now. So worth it though, I'd only buy weed and other superfluous tatt with it anyway!
 
Always intended to go to the last few BritGaf meets, but never made it out for one reason or another. My girlfriend's off on holiday that week though so I have all the free time in the world. Count me in. I'm assuming you're all friendly and welcoming of new folk.

Any guys from the North West going to this? I was going to say we could meet up in Manchester then go down from there.
 
Would love to have come along but I'm abroad and doubt I'd be back in time.

I would like to meet with members of GAF too, but I have a small problem -
I still haven't booked my holiday from work and on said holiday, I had a London or England trip in mind.

I don't have any hostel or hotel booked, but I was thinking about some couch surfing.

If anyone would like to accomodate healthy person who doesn't drink and like to run, let me know in PM for your proposition.

I won't give you my kidney or lung, but I can promise that you wont even know I am there.

I might even create a thread later on when I will know dates....
 
Might come, will need to see what money's like a bit nearer the time to see if I can afford it. Been pissing money away like nobody's this month. But if EggyBob is there then I might have to come on up...
 
I'm tempted by this if I'm welcome. Haven't met any gaffers before. I can probably get there by about 6.30. What's the plan? Just drinks?

Hi! Of course you're welcome, everyone is welcome!

No definite plan as yet, still in the planning stages. It's tricky finding somewhere for everyone to eat so generally we meet up in a pub and people can do their own thing, either eat before they arrive, or slop off to grab a bite during.

But we're open to suggestions so if anyone has any please say!

Loop Bar, Dering Street - off New Bond Street.

Why? Happy hour from 4-8pm meaning half price beers & selected spirits and cocktails. + GIRLS!!

Plenty of office and party girls. The place actually rocks till 3.30am.
