I'm not interested in buying this game again but I don't really get the people hating on the bloom. They don't have it everywhere, just when you are outside and during the day. It seems like they are using it in an incredibly appropriate way that actually makes sense.
Maybe they can give us a slider in the options to tone down the bloom.
75% of you couldnt even code a simple web page, but yet have the AUDACITY to criticize this gem. let us fanboys bask in the glory that is NINTENDO !
I couldn't fly a plane but I sure as hell would criticise a pilot if he crashed it into the airport. I personally love the look of the new WW but this isn't a fullproof argument.

It really is something else. This is really taking the remaster concept to a whole new level as far as remasters and HD up ports done by anyone prior. The bloom can be a bit much at times but it is an outside only thing and a world of water would cause severe sun reflection.
Wow. Well, sorry, they totally bastardized the appeal of the original art style. I'm still getting it, but this is definitely not the way it should look.
i love the bloom, i think what people hate about it is it seem every screen shot is taken in the middle of the day cycle where sunlight is the brightest and harshest, therefore the bloom simulates that. People complaining about the bloom must've never been outside in a tropical setting. its BRIGHT as heck on sunny days...
Tropical setting and cartoon shading apart I still think they went overboard with the HRD toning and the haze.
People complaining about the bloom are unhappy that the addition of light and shading gradients on almost every surface, a product of the bloom, conflicts with the hard colours and simple toon shading of the original build. That's the thing with Wind Waker HD. Running at a higher resolution and cleaner textures (if it has this) are objective improvements, but the bloom isn't. Bloom is a stylistic choice that gives the game a distinctly different look to the GameCube version. And for some people the GameCube versions' art reigns supreme.

What I'm excited about is the hard mode. Wind Waker is by far the easiest Zelda, at least as far as I'd rank them. Zelda games are never too difficult, but I really felt Wind Waker was the easiest of them all.
Hard Mode + Heart Skipping = :O~

Probably realistically = still piss easy.
WW had so many quarter heart damages, doubling it probably won't do much.
I don't know how much you know about Japanese culture, (I'm an expert), but the bloom and new graphical rendering style is more three dimensional and less traditionally Japanese. The original's cel shaded rendering was more in the line of ukiyo-e or a manga-ish illustration style.Agreed, I normally don't like bloom, but it's well used here.
Anyone hating on the bloom needs to take a real vacation to a tropical island in the caribbean. It really gives the game the correct atmosphere of being in a tropical island setting. Its just amazing how this game looks. Its making me not want to wait for the retail version and get the eshop version. Im still holding off for GS figurine though.
I did play this on GC but I never got to finish it. This time I will!

Can I crash at your place? I need a vacation. :-\I live in South Florida. Trust me, the sky isn't a hazy neon wasteland.

My extended family is from Puerto Rico; I've gone on vacation there many times.
It's not how it looks. There is obviously light infusion, but it most certainly does not look like this persistent ghostly haze.
I've lived in Dominican Republic and Ive had days that look like that at the beach.

No hearts available to pick up might though.
