Well then, GameXplain just tweeted that the real-time clock will not be there. In the GC version, the real-time clock thing allowed the stars/sky to change depending on the day and time. It was awesome!
Pre-order cancelled.

Wait, was this an automatic feature or did you have to activate it?
Oh, didn't read that part. Curse my skimming! On the file select screen only.
I think that, visually, they're pretty ugly (Spirit Tracks less so. Mostly in terms of dungeon design with that camera angle and the low walls.I still can't make my mind up about PH and, to a lesser extent, ST. They're like some crazy zelda optical illusion. Look at them from a certain angle and they are super fun and charming. Slightly change your viewpoint and they are steaming piles of dogshit.
I think I might have a more charitable viewpoint if they weren't direct sequels to one of my favorite games.

In terms of story, Phantom Hourglass was an enjoyable but forgettable side story (though it shares a lot in common with LA). Spirit Tracks was disappointing as a sequel only in that it skipped ahead to long after Link and Tetra found New Hyrule. As a stand alone game though, I have to say that Spirit Tracks is amongst the best. Several elements come together (the narrative, the characters, the world, the music) to create an incredibly charming journey. Princess Zelda in ST is by far the best incarnation of her.
The only issue that might have some weight with ST is the overworld. I found the train to be an engaging and challenging mini game, but it could be slow. If you die you have to make the whole trip again. The only train part I recall taking too long for me was the first one in the forest. Oh yeah, and the flute sucked. The dungeons and bosses were fine.
This would be perfect without so much bloom.
But it suuuuuckkkksssss
The heart counter could be brought up every time the character gets hit, then hide it. Besides all Zelda games have the alarm sound when the counter gets low so there's a big failsafe there already.Rupees and keys? Yes, but I think hearts should still remain on the screen.
After getting used to it you wont care much about it. This is the most brought up but less valid complain about the game i think. The bloom really is out of hand. There are more instances where it looks bad than where it looks good.
Yeah, the purists are being a bit too particular here. The game definitely looks better with the bloom. Unfortunately, they haven't done much else.

Good to see Nintendo offering the option to minimize the HUD. Complains seem to be reaching them some what, which is good.
It looks better than the original.
Spuh?True, but that ISNT A BIG DEAL when the game is 10 years old dude.
I hope this bombs hard.
Nintendo deserves the failure for putting such little work into this and overcharging so much for it.

You forgot about the conversation we had about the HUD in one of the other threads. Pointed out about the option been in SS also. I know is hard to keep track of every interchange and screen name so no problems XDSkyward Sword already let you do that. Completely gets rid of the same item binds and only leaves the hearts and rupees(+keys) up there. It only lets you do this after the introductory part is over, though (right before you leave Skyloft).
The good thing to take away here is that they realized people really want the screen to be as clean as possible so they're continuing to provide that option and didn't just leave it as is since WW doesn't have a huge Wii condom on screen at all times like the SS HUD until you can disable it.

Even with the minimal HUD option in SS we had to swallow the cluttered one when fying around. On the other hand in WW HD the minimal HUD is preserved even when sailing, so in that sense is an improvement. ANd it seems the option is now part of "the design document" for Zelda games so thank god for that!
I just replayed both intro sequences in TP and SS. I really really really want HD remasters of those two with the same care put into it as WWHD. So amazing
I agree with you.
Love your avatar.

We need to compare against the source videos. All the clips in that NinEverything compilation are from the Japanese website.

What's kinda funny for me about the inclusion of boss rush modes is Zelda... There was a Nin-game survey I filled out for registering a Zelda game a loooong time ago, and I remember saying they should include a mode where "we only fight the bosses"(before there was such a mode). Wouldn't ya know it a couple years later, "boss rush mode". Now I'm not saying I had anything to do with this, but I am saying it was an interesting coincidence for me. Lol like they pay any attention to those game surveys anyways :3Stahp pls.
Also, I hope there's a boss rush type thing somewhere in this game.![]()

Nooooo! That intro is awesome and kicks the ass of people that think Zelda games don't connect.
