If you wait it does populate the list, but I think it populates with everyone on your list? Maybe? It's a bit messy. Game itself is really well done though imo. Never got into SW (actually sold the tabletop) but I could totally see getting into this.I'm down for Small World games. Love the game. Haven't updated to the new version yet, but I already own it

Glad people are finally jumping on the Small World bandwagon.
Only reason I didn't before was lack of async and 2+ player. DoW generally does a good job presentation-wise, but they miss odd/obvious stuff. Mission solved.

Need more of these to be universal :| I read somewhere that Eclipse is supposed to get a universal update sometime in the future.

Lots of customisation and tweaks are possible in setting up each play.
It's a one man developer and it's 2x on the iPad. $4.99
It has async GC multiplayer. Yay.
You can play matches or complete seasons against the AI.
It has weather.
Reminds me a lot of playing Madden on the megadrive (without a keypad).

It's a turn clock, I think. Our game has 47h left and we definitely didn't start just an hour ago. So there's at least that. Still... 2 days is a bit short.

Yeah, not as horrible that way at least. Still should probably be 3 days to account for weekends. Game is great though even though some of the powers feel cheap (part of the fun and I'm sure there are ways around it).
I'm constantly amazed that so few developers don't just copy Playdek's awesome async implementation.
Nethersnare seems interesting. I'd think it should cost a little more, but it's only one monster at a time.
Yeah, that's good stuff since you're just calling dibs at that point. You still have to kill the monster to get the benefit and there's only 1 in the deck. No probs there...

My first post in this mega thread but I started Ascension a few days ago and I'm totally hooked. I'm still relatively new to the world of Boardgaming (Ticket To Ride being the only other game I've played) but I did use to game MTG back in the day.
In any case, I noticed that there was a tournament a few months back for Ascension. Any ETA on the next round?

That sounded really promising. I really liked that boardgame.
Seeing games like this, as well as some wargames, whether someone will finally step up and make the Game of Thrones boardgame digital. Would so love that.

I finished both 1 and 2. It's okay. The AI is brain dead and there bugs abound. The mechanics are solid though.

I do like that the Game Centre holds notifications for turn based games, so that might help with the Ticket To Ride/Codito problems.

Functionally, iOS 7 is far superior to iOS 6. But I can see why someone may not like the visual design. Personally, it doesn't bother me, and some of the visuals have even been improved (good riddance, sucky skeuomorphics).
All in all, I'm very happy to have updated even though I hate the new Safari icon.

Yeah, can't wait to see async games start using the turn tab. Perfect for the board game world.

I almost wish Playdek would stop announcing new games. They are making so many already, and they can take forever to come out, and then when they do, they dont update some of them much at all. Nightfall has like 7 expansions, and all we have in the app is 1 of them.
Most of it is great, some of it is weird though. Im not a huge fan of the massive fogged glass bar on the bottom of the home screen, or that the GC popup when you load a game is like 1/3 of the screen. It has little issues all over the place, but the command centre is awesome enough to make up for 90% of those issues, haha.
