Yup, completely froze my PS3, had to pull the plug out, worked the second time.

Exhausted right now. Played some BF4 beta earlier and then helped move a giant CRT out of a bedroom and then another big ass CRT back into it.
Going to sleep, but since I don't have class until tomorrow evening...

Managed to get the update and create a character but can't actually get online to play (unsurprisingly).
Does anyone know what the lifestyle section of the character creator is about?

Yep, just got it, I couldn't get to XMB, and I had to unplug my PS3.

The update failed and locked up my PS3. Had to shut off the power to restart it. Trying the download again and it's frozen at 75% now.

Weirdly, things appear to be working fine on Xbox here.

Ancestry is a nice idea for character creation but the implementation here is so garbage it makes me not want to play the damn game. What a mess. PS2 era graphics.

Gave it a few shots, can't connect online, now it's made the character loading transitions in singleplayer load way slower and more broken.

Unless the ancestry thing is really just a way of masking presets I'm guessing we'll see them eventually relent and offer a more tweaky character editor. Here's hoping, at least.
I think it's just a biiiiiiiiiiit crowded =P.

on the initial game boot up you can load straight into multiplayer. Bottom right press prompt, A or X to switch to load into multi.

Yeah but when it's broken like right now, it keeps booting you back to the singleplayer game instead of back to a front end menu.

FYI: it will still kick you out of the game once you try to load up the first race after the intro... back to square one.
Well, if he's using your account it won't be separated. If he has his own account and save then it will be ok

It depends on how you setup their lifestyle, if you indulge in a lot of criminal activity in the points thing at the beginning then you have marks and cuts.

It's either from make up or having the criminal activity setting set to more than 4 hours a day.
