Pokebomb: Mega Charizard 2.0 - How to Train Your Dragon

I'm not sure which version will arrive to me. I initially pre-ordered Y, but called to change into X last week. The conversation was a bit odd, although I think the clerk understood what I wanted to do. Yet the website still refers to Y in my order. I'm leaning towards Y with this -- but since I'm torn either way, I won't call to sort it out and leave it up to Lady Luck.

I was really set on picking Bulbasaur because I didn't want to use Charmander for the third time and potentially have THREE fire starters, but you're making this really hard, Game Freak.

Cool. Interested to see if Venusaur and Blastoise have different mega forms between versions. And if so, if the megas we know now are both from Y.

Are mega stones tradeable? As in, if I have Y, and I want the X Charizard, can I trade mega stones with someone?

Venusaur is confirmed to only have one Mega Evolution. I'd expect the same from Blastoise, sadly.

And yes, they're tradeable.

Considering the Torchic distribution is a Torchic holding a Blazikenite, it appears that they are normal held items. We don't know anything further than that, but it sounds a bit insane to have Megas actually be exclusive to a specific version -- which means that most likely, yes, they are tradeable.

No offense but the monster design in Pokemon looks way less detail and intricate than Puzzle & Dragons.
When they are clever and intricate everyone whines saying that its a digimon, not a pokemon, and that all pokemon should be simple and based on animals.

I totally regret pre-ordering Y now. I can't change, either since my little brother already has dibs on X. Stupid twerp gets all the good exclusives.... >:(

Can't change my Pokemon Y order now. Damn you GameFreak.

Nope. Charizard Y is still boss. Drought FTW

Yep. Drought is free Sunny Day that lasts forever unless a new weather move is used.

1.5x Fire Damage
0.5x Water Damage
Thunder, Hurricane reduced to 50% accuracy,
Instant Solar Beam
Pokémon with the Dry Skin Ability will lose ⅛ of their maximum HP at the end of each turn
Pokémon with the Flower Gift Ability will raise the team's Attack and Special Defense by 50%
Pokémon with the Solar Power Ability will have their Special Attack raised by 50% and lose ⅛ of their HP each turn
Pokémon with the Leaf Guard Ability will be immune to being inflicted non-volatile status ailments
Pokémon with Chlorophyll will have their Speed doubled.
Growth will raise the user's Attack and Special Attack by two stages instead of just one.
Harvest will never fail to restore a Berry.
Synthesis, Morning Sun and Moonlight will now instead recover ⅔ of the user's HP in intense sunlight.

You X'ers can have your inferior Charizard with his stupid blue fire tusks. #TeamY

Better looking pokemon maybe. No chance its typing, moves, ability and stats will compensate for drought.

Unless they nerf stealth rock it will still be held back due to its typing. And because weather-changing pokemon are kinda common it would be a big risk bringing it out. Just my opinion on this matter.

I like your plan. Luck of the draw version choosing seems kind of fun.

I could care less about Charizard. I was a Venusaur/Blastoise girl back when I played Blue and Red versions, so this news really doesn't matter to me.

Does it look neat? Yeah. Is it gonna make me switch my preorder? Nope.

Pokemon Y/Team Yvietal 4 lyfe~

Wow. This is some bullshit that it's only available in X. Fuck you game freak. Just straight up Fuck You!

And if Bulbasaur and Squirtle don't get the same double form treatment they can Fuck themselves again. If Squirtle does get another form I want to know now so I can get the right version ASAP. WHY DOES GAMEFREAK DO THIS SHIT FUCK

I am not a fan of the design of Mega Charizard X (neither I am of the Y version)... those horns and wings, I don't like them.
I've always wanted Fire/Dragon for Charizard, so at least there is that. I am still getting Pokémon Y. #TeamYveltal

You get Mega Charizard Y in Y version, I don't see the problem.

Where is that anime sequence of the new charizard beating up mewtwo from?

Pokemon Origins anime.

I guess this proves why Megaevolutions are a thing. Before you could breed version exclusives and trade them for the ones you needed. Now, since evolutions are item-based, you're forced to actually buy a second game to get the others, since people likely won't be trading them away.

This just sealed X as the superior version for me(I do still like Y's mega just nowhere near as much as this) so I'll be keeping my preorder.

getting the superior pokemon y

Is that even the case though? Do Mega Pokemon enter as their non-mega counterparts and then change or do they automatically enter in their Mega forms? I am assuming the Mega Ring has to be used in battle to trigger a Mega Stone. If that is the case then Charizard will be hit with stealth rock and then changed into Mega Charizard X if the trainer activates the Mega Ring.

OP should update. Tough Claws increases power of moves that make direct contact, not physical attacks.

Calling people discovering a way to clone within a week of release.

The only competition it has with the released info thus far is Ninetales who isn't exactly sturdy either. While rock is crippling, Charizard has a ground immunity and x4 resistances to grass and bug, giving it plenty of opportunities to switch in. Charizard's weakness to stealth rock has been greatly exaggerated. No one uses him, because he doesn't fill a role that other fire types can't fill better. Drought will change that completely.

Im sticking with Y on the off hand that we'll get some cool alternate starter megaevos.

My inner version fanboy is coming out though...X getting all the damn good stuff, except Yveltal.

Where can I find that Mew Two vs mega charizard trailer? It's pissing me off that something so bloody awesome can't even be found on YouTube. I mean really?!
