Someone referenced Smallville and I think it would be exactly like the Lana plot after Lois was added; you know Clark is going to be with Lois sooner or later, so any time they try to do the Lana/Clark thing, it just feels like a waste of time.

Well said Rei. Through the season I honestly saw zero chemistry between those two actors for anything more than a deep friendship. In fact, not to bring up Smallville yet again but it just reminds me of Chloe/Clark.
 
It just depends on how much they want to follow the comics. I'm perfectly aware that Oliver + Felicity is likely a doomed ship but I like them together.

Laurel is deadly dull and has zero chemistry with Oliver.
 
It's almost like they didn't screen test Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy before casting them in their roles. Things just feel so awkward when they're together on screen and I happen to like her in other roles. She just doesn't work here I feel.

It's how they write her character. She's completely joyless.

Katie Cassidy is an excellent actress, and very charismatic in other roles. She is given very little to work with here besides "stern and judgmental".
 
Well I watched the panel interviews and it looks like she'll be having a much larger role in Season 2 so maybe she'll win more folks over.
 
So much negativity in this thread. I think I should become a writer for Arrow. Have I not written enough quality ships?

Come on you guys know you wanna see #Ollie/Slade or #Moira/Thea. Think of the sizzling scenes I could write.

Good Lord. The show would turn into a porno and wouldn't be allowed to be aired on the CW.

I'm watching the first season of the show now. Why is everyone such an asshole. The guy doesn't spend a lot of time with his mom so she asks him why he bothered to come home from being stranded on the island? wtf

Tommy is the best dude. Everyone sorta stays as they are, but Oliver and his mom have a few good moments.

But yeah, nobody has sympathy for Mr SurvivedHellOnEarth
 
Moria got remarried to a great guy and Thea partied and developed a drug habit.

Meanwhile, Ollie fought mercenaries after watching his dad die and lived everyday in fear it would be his last and that he'd never see home again and when he does comeback, he's likely suffering from some form of PTSD.

Clearly, everyone's suffering was equivalent. Clearly.

He does enjoy murdering criminals so he gets to let loose anybody know the body count from Season 1 might start a tally for season 2

IIRC Lance said the bodycount was something like 29. But those were just the bodies the police found. Gotta at least be double that.
