The thing is, the 520 isn't crap hardware. It's actually pretty solid, dual core Krait, modern GPU, decent amount of RAM, 8GB storage, > SD decent resolution. In Android a similar phone is £170-190. I find it hard to believe that Nokia are making money on the 520, it is a presence device that has either zero or negative margins intended to convert people to WP. It's worked tbh, the 520 is easily the most popular Nokia phone in Europe, it is a great deal. I've recommended it to people who want a cheap smartphone but aren't bothered by apps and only want something to browse on. At £90-100 it is too good to pass up on for a lot of people. The Galaxy at that price is something called the Galaxy Fame, which is a single core 1GHz, 480x320 3.5" piece of shit. Sony don't have anything from 2013 at that price and HTC have all of their horrible Desire series that no one wants. The 520 is a really, really great deal.
