My N4 just popped up with that Google can't sign in page as well. Something is coming.

Also my news and weather app that comes with stock android suddenly doesn't open as of today. It says it encountered a problem and I can either press okay or report.

It's actually a surprisingly good phone for the price range, every Android phone I've used at £100 off contract has been terrrrrrible. But Windows Phone is an OS that scales really well to weaker hardware to the point where it doesn't get in the way of using apps for the most part. The thing is, the 520 isn't crap hardware. It's actually pretty solid, dual core Krait, modern GPU, decent amount of RAM, 8GB storage, > SD decent resolution. In Android a similar phone is £170-190. I find it hard to believe that Nokia are making money on the 520, it is a presence device that has either zero or negative margins intended to convert people to WP. It's worked tbh, the 520 is easily the most popular Nokia phone in Europe, it is a great deal. I've recommended it to people who want a cheap smartphone but aren't bothered by apps and only want something to browse on. At £90-100 it is too good to pass up on for a lot of people. The Galaxy at that price is something called the Galaxy Fame, which is a single core 1GHz, 480x320 3.5" piece of shit. Sony don't have anything from 2013 at that price and HTC have all of their horrible Desire series that no one wants. The 520 is a really, really great deal.

Edit: I've never used google hangouts before, only experienced the delays with google voice. That's why I was asking if they just incorporated google voice into hangouts.

News and weather crashing here to. Apparently because googles sign in servers have shot the bed and not 4.4.

Glad I'm not the only one. And yeah the app itself is kind of not necessary with google now. Although I do read the news tabs from time to time. I'd like to see more in depth weather details in Google now instead of clicking weather and it bringing you to a Google search. I like the scroll bar in the news and weather app being able to see what the temp will be like at a certain hour of the day.

Yeah I can't imagine them making much off it, it is as you say a phone to just get people on board with WP and increase their marketshare.

If I do grab a Nexus 5 the 620 I have would make a good drunk phone, one which you can take out and leave your nice phone at home and not worry about it getting beaten about. It's something I think that the 520 can do quite well too.

It has been $99 Canadian a few times but deals on it seem harder to come by than in the US.

It's fine. I actually didn't notice until sometime later. I left the link open and when I was doing tab maintenance, this porn site popped up and I was like "where did this come from?" I notice I could hit the back button and that's how I found where it originated.

according to some guy on reddit the chromebook was revealed to the press at a secret event in NCY earlier this month, followed by a big dump. it seems most likely that this event tonight is a secret kitkat event and they will news us tomorrow.
