Visually it looks great (not sure about stunning though), but gameplay-wise it still doesn't look that good.

I was just coming in here to post the opposite. I thought it looked absolutely fantastic! The pacing seems to be so much better here while the older games left the dial at 11 most of the time (constant explosions and action). This looks more like a stealth game ala Crysis than Call of Duty which just happens to be my very favorite type of shooter. Can't wait!

You know, I'm sure it's there but I genuinely haven't noticed it due to the fact that I'm taking in all the beautiful graphics and enjoying the more measured gameplay.

My only complaint is that I am still not feeling the environments. Hopefully they vary more throughout the campaign. Killzone 2 spoiled me with its gorgeously grim environments.

It's okay, we all have different opinions. To me it is the best FPS of the generation and among the top 3 games of the gen as well.

Fps always bothered me on the ds3 so that is a contributing factor.

Yep, makes it look like the game is running really poorly. I speculated above that it might be because it's 35-40 fps gameplay being encoded to 30 fps video, but I'm not sure if that would make it look this stuttery.

Visually I like kz2 best. Can not say much about gameplay as demo is as far as i got.... Kz3 can look super great on screenshots but is really inconsistant visually. Sometimes looks graet and sometimes super freaking great and it creates inconsistency that is quite jarring. Kz:sf is super good too. Exite when ever i get ps4.

I think you're going to have to judge it when you see the final game. It's doing a LOT more than Max Payne 3, for sure, which is an odd game to bring up. If you were to show a 25 fps Youtube video of MP3 on the PC it would be indistinguishable from the PS3 and 360 versions. Poor video compression (including a dumb framerate choice) is ruining this footage. There's so many visual effects going on in Killzone that Max Payne 3 never even begins to attempt.

If you were to say, for example, Crysis 3 you might have a point but not Max Payne 3.

That said, I'd say Killzone SF would stand out as a great looking PC title (one of the best) if it were released right now.

As someone who plays only PC games.... I must heavily disagree (especially max payne 3... hich is not that special grahpically). I think this game ues a lot of effects and tech that are quite great. Even if it lacks the perfect performance and IQ you get on the PC.

I played Max Payne 3 maxed out on PC and I thought TLoU looked better. Not even in the same league as this. Personally, i think this looks nicer than Crysis 3 overall. Tech put to better use and a much better sense of scale.

Some was impressive, some didn't look that far out of this generation. It's still a launch day purchase for me. I canceled Battlefield 4 and replaced it with Shadowfall. I'm just hoping it's not too much like Crysis 2, where the multifaceted approach to levels is novel at first, and then pretty broken.

Looks really nice but I'm afraid I'll buy it knowing I'm tired of shooters, play it for a couple days, and then never go back to it. And it will be my fault for buying a FPS even though I have a history of getting tired of those games quickly.

It just looks so beautiful though, and what's a next-gen console without a showpiece next-gen game to go with it.

Ohh nice... Great looking rifle, although I forgot to say that I meant an almost identical advanced version of the M82 from KZ2 and KZ3. Using futuristic parts and stuff while maintaining the same holographic scope and overall design.

That M55 looks pretty awesome though.

Honestly, I thought Crysis 3 was way too busy except for the opening bits. I'm going to buy KZ3 for sure on launch, but I don't think the graphics are that great. However, that's based on a youtube feed so I could be way off.
