Uh, I'm just gonna say WingStop because I don't know any other wings place. And the only reason I bring up WingStop is to say that their ranch is GODLIKE.

In terms of condiments/sauces, their ranch >>>>>>>>>>>> Siracha > at this point I don't really care, because the rest suck.

I feel the same. I honestly hope this business model works or at least opens a different way to create revenue and opportunities to get more characters (Put Sagat and Cyclops in marvel) and supporting developers.

It's kind if hard to feel hype for a game you aren't going to be able to play. That being said I do hope it does well for them.

The problem is it is an interesting business model + xbox one launch exclusive. Because of that it'll be a bit limited in terms of what we can learn about it. Had they released on PS4 as well we might get a better indication of how successful it will be.

For example I'd be happy to try it out and would probably spend money on it if it is good, but given it is an xbox one only game it might as well not exist as far as my wallet is concerned.

Probably the only interest for me is if NRS can raise the bar again for the ugliest looking characters. In the face of such strong competition I think they can really deliver something special.

So I checked in with the GGA guys today. They said that they have not yet received the rest of the money for placing top 3 in MK at VxG. (They were paid 1/3 of it in cash on site and were to receive the rest via check through the mail in 90 days, which was the end of October.) They did say that they received an email last week asking for their information, but that was the only correspondence they had with VxG.

Hahaha....EMP still won't go anywhere unless Triforce uses those "7 zeros" and start a league of his own to make that 30k profit a tournament. Just using that money to send his EMP guys to tournament isn't doing anything for the FGC anymore especially when all his guys aren't a threat anymore.
 
Yeah I find someone investing 7 Zero players more likely that someone investing 7 digits worth of money in Triforce. That's a million dollars or if you want to get really specific that would be 10 million dollars for actual 7 zeroes.

He's shown a really good grasp of the psychology elements of games and why they appeal to people.

LOL where has he shown this? Does he have actual experience in game design or because he has some game records he thinks he knows a thing or two about actual game design?
 
A proper game designer is a developer/balancer as well. They have to iterate and balance their own stuff (and as a team, depending on the game) as well through the development process. They sit in on the focus groups and all that.

I don't know why triforce stands out as a special design guy apart from other people in the community.

-The team bodies MorriDoom FREE (emphasized quite a bit)
-It removes the concern of Soul Fist
-The team doesn't require meter to do what it needs to do
-ChrisG would have to burn 4 meter or X factor to kill the point (referring to Thor)
-All 3 characters are deadly in X factor
-The team can avoid or overpower Soul Fist

Dude, that is what I am saying. I would genuinely be excited if DOA was getting MK costumes. All the DOA people cosplaying as MK characters makes me hype. They are better artists and modelers than NRS (to me).

I would dump money into that f2p DOA if this would happen.

I really don't see the 2D DOA comparison. It doesn't have ridiculous sexualized fanservice as a veil for a badly structured fighting game.

I'm p. hype for KI. It'll serve me well until KOFXIV comes out

False. Some people have both skillsets. But they're not the same at all. One's creative, the other's highly technical.

I say he might be a good design candidate because when he talks about games, he says things that have a certain outlook/perspective which isn't commonly held. It reminds me of other "creative" types I've known.
 
If Chun Li was banned everyone would just pick Yun and Ken.

Also I don't think DOA is a badly structured fighting game anymore. Yea that used to be what the game was but the latest DOA game seems more legit. At this point the series is just stuck with the stigma of the Itagaki era.

To be fair, outside of TACs, a single combo from Morri/Doom/Vergil would need 3-4 meters to kill thor.
He will likely have lost 50% health before a clean confirm though.

But Thor deadly in XF?
Baffles me the most out of all

It's so weird. Itagaki leaving DOA was the best thing that could happen to the series in terms of being more balanced for competitive play.

Itagaki leaving Ninja Gaiden, on the other hand, put the series in a state that I wouldn't wish on my most hated franchises.

While that is true the brunt of the damage inflicted by Morrigan is through just fireballs. She can't even kill normal health characters herself with a regular combos which is why ChrisG just does a meterless combo into a hard knockdown and activates AV (if he doesn't want to risk a TAC).

So Morrigan does not need 3-4 bars to kill Thor, she can just kill Thor the regular way... which is fireballs or a single reset.
