Also, now that we have Persona 1/2 that were mechanically similar, and P3/4 that were mechanically alike, do you think P5 is going to keep things like the Press Turn system, Demon Fusion, Social Links, etc.?

This was one of my biggest questions as well.
It's also the only one with a favourable answer.
Aside from that, it was obvious there was going to be P5, and it's a lot of time to wait too, so nothing special there.

The trailer felt rather dark. I would hope they would try something a bit new but yet adhere to the SMT's demon fusion, compendium and the like

You're right, I completely forgot. Hopefully Atlus or another dev does a cross platform version because lots of people missed out P4 because it was on the PS2.

Yea and I wonder how many people didn't get to play it because of this, I remember I had to re-buy a PS2 over here in Europe when it came out.
I am still hoping that they will announce a PS4 version later down the road.

P4 golden is available on Vita, P3 FES is available on PS3 via PSN.
In the trailer, you can make the sound of a bottle being opened and drank. I think I could also hear someone lighting a cigarette. People that are chained to their vices and addictions. I didn't think they'd go for the adult angle, but the aesthetics and style shown so far seem similar to Catherine.

It's obvious that this is not coming out within a few months...
It might be because a lot of their fanbase now are adults so they're trying something new which I hope will be good.

PS3 = Huge install base, PS4 = mediocre install base. That is why.
Anyway, sad that we will have two wait at least one and a half years to play the game in English.

On platform choice, it's easy to see why in Japan: there's less interest in each subsequent console generation in Japan, so remaining on the current one as much as possible is probably the best bet.
In the West, I'm not so sure. The PS4 could go either way.

Yeah, but don't you think they would just have given us the exact release date if it were only three months away? I mean we already got the release date for PersonaQ which is in June 2014.

But really, a tad disappointed with the reveal. We knew the game was coming, so a small glimpse at what it looked like would have been nice. I do appreciate the potentially darker vibe of it though. Hopefully we get some more details this week.

I think its pretty safe to say it doesn't really matter how well the dancing spinoff game sells. The worst case scenario is they never make another one and the Persona series continues to release on last-gen consoles.
Probably won't be like that it 2014/15 though.
What are the chances of Atlus porting it to PS4 for NA/EU ?
That's what I'm hoping for.
