Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth announced for 3DS (p3/p4/chibi spinoff, EO-ish)

Chibi aside, this actually looks really good. A shame they had to go with this art style probably because of the 3DSs' weak-ass hardware. They should have just made this for the Vita, especially considering how damn good the graphics are on that dancing game. Seriously, had they gone with the art style of that dancing game I don't think many would be complaining.

How many time people have to post that this is also a spin off of this game.

They are? At least the Character arts are.

They're not, the 3D model are semi deformed.

I think the game gonna have great gameplay, maybe gonna end up more hardcore than actual P5

I can't get over the idea this just silly crossover game though, even more than P4 arena.

I hope there is an auto map feature. I want the game to be easy enough that it's enjoyable fan service. If I want difficulty I'd just play EO.

Also battle screens confirm you can mix and match from P3/P4 which is definitely a plus.

Why would the artstyle have anything to do with the platform?

Not sure, it just seems to me going with a certain artstyle makes it easier to develop for a platform that is limited (as in: limited compared to consoles). In going with a less resource-heavy artstyle (I'm not even sure this is less resource-heavy :) ) there are more possibilities to make the game bigger or give it extra functions like online modes for example.

It's a stylistic choice since it's EO inspired...the idea that 3DS can't handle realistic proportioned character models is laughable.

I know. I'm not trying to insinuating such thing though. I was just wondering why they choose for a style like this :)

I feel the same. I love the chibi thing. It's a great way to express Persona as a 3DS spin-off. I dig the main games, but this seems like a great companion. Why do the exact same thing on a handheld?

Yeah, it's very cute and charming. Even aside from that, it's nice getting a chance to see a slightly different take on these character designs. Just an all-around good decision.

Looks like I need to finish up EOT 4 in preperation for this.
Looks like I was pretty smart buying that game now in hindsight.

The art is too underline this are spin-off game and its cartoonish nature , I think its very inappropriate to use that dancing game style.

Holy shit this looks bad.
Never playing EO game?
And its in same level as SMTIV if you ask me.

If this is first person battling and exploring, I'm out

Same. I've played a few on those on the DS, not my thing. But if Q ends up being similar to the PS2 games just with a bit of added flair, I'm interested. I have a 3DS and PS3, so yeah, no next-gen for me yet.

all the entitled fanboys bashing this game because they thought atlus was not announcing P5 better not buy this game. you dont deserve it.

Traielr looked fine, imo. The art-style kinda works, since persona characters were already kinda chibi-fies in gameplay.

Want to see battle gameplay before making up my mind about buying this tough.

- A person named after a Nippon Ichi character.

That's the main reason to not liking it.

I'm a hardcore Disgaea series fan for what it is.

I'm a hardcore Persona fan for what it is.

Se my point. I'm glad that people are happy with a chibi Persona spin-off. Sadly I don't share their opinion and I'm expressing it without being disrespectful or harsh.

I don't see a problem here. Apparently, some of you do.

I'm intrigued. I really liked the EO games I've played, but I've only got the energy for one per generation. I'll have to see if PQ can inspire me to buck that trend.

I just got up... And I'm not sure I could be more disappointed. Why the hell would they be yet again continuing the P3/4 storyline in yet another RPG!?

Then again they did say they were gonna do a 3ds persona...... So how goes the riot? Can I sign up?

Edit: And wtf? Is that the persona 3 MC?
