I'm interested for Mario hype, another game or two, and the games that it should be receiving later. I'm interested now mostly for Mario hype though, yes. I don't think the Wii U as a set of features is worth much, it seems like a step back from other consoles in almost every regard. All I see is HD Nintendo games.
I currently see it as one great game and a couple of good ones, and I'll pay $250 for that and what will come in the future. I'm not asking you to agree with me, but if you're genuinely curious that's how I see it. As a device I think $300 is asking too much, but for what it is and what it entails (HD Nintendo games) $250 gets me to bite. If I felt like there were 5-10 great games on it (like you do), I would probably buy it for $300 but still not feel great about it. I just don't think the machine warrants that price, personally. I know it's weird to say that and at the same time be willing to spend $250 for less of an offering, but consumer behavior is weird sometimes.
