Here. maybe Bill can make you feel better.

Who decided which teams face up in which bowl games? A part from the championship game it seems random as fuck.

The Bowls have contracts with the conferences. So a bowl might have the 5th choice of SEC teams and the 3rd choice of ACC teams. It's all really shady but that is college football!

Most of them (all? not actually sure) are conference tie ins. So winners of specific smaller conferences vs other winners of smaller conferences.

Like the Capital One Bowl is always the best team from the SEC that doesn't make a BCS bowl versus the best Big 10 team that doesn't make a BCS bowl.

College football is too confusing with all these random bowls. Shoot, I could probably host my own bowl. Just need to mow the back yard and remove the squirrels.

Now I can look forward to the Texans next season...

well as long as Schoob is gone.

I feel like I imagine snesfreak looks. Fucking sickness should be outlawed, Why havent the Republicans tried to do this yet.

Contrary to what was reported elsewhere, the Lions have not spoken to Pete Carroll about Tom Cable at all; he was never a candidate there

They can pass on teams though. When the Penn St stuff came out but we still had a bowl game to be played, we played the like 6th or 7th big ten slot vs 4th because 4/5/6 passed on us. The conference contacts sure fuck over teams. Like TCU/Boise St being both top 15 but down in the Poinsettia one the lowest paid bowl games

Agreed. It's baffling to me. What was one today? the Andora V100 or something or other bowl? Wacky.

I wonder when the day will come when individual NFL playoff games get sponsored with ridiculous shit like College Bowl games. I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet tbh.

The only bowls I remember watching were the Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl. There's just so many bowls now. They should just figure out a better "playoff" type situation for these teams if they all need some sort of premiere end of the season game.

Or stop naming the bowls fucking stupid shit.

There is more coming too haha

Don't give Rog ideas.

You know he's open to any ideas that will double his dollars

You're not a fan of the Beef O Brady's Bowl St. Petersburg or the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl?

Used to be Sugar, Rose, Cotton, Orange, Liberty, Sun, Fiesta, Music City, Independence, Peach and a handful of others.

Then everything was just sponsors. Then they changed sponsors every year, and added 20 more games.

Yeah, they don't have to take the 4th place team, they have 4th choice. Supposedly the Chik Fil A bowl didn't want Duke but the ACC strong armed them in to taking them

Got it. Ta.

Always pressure to protect the losing conference teams in a decent bowl.

Very strange new years. Going to some swingers shit apparently with this girl I just met at a strip club couple of weeks ago.

Pray for Sanjuro.

LOL my god that's so bad.

Fuck, the Cotton Bowl. That's another one. Love the simplistic name thing. Harkens back.

Huzzah!

It made no sense. GM and President talked about changing the culture. Bringing in a guy with a history of violence would be pointless.

I saw Anand spec out one of those Mac Pros. For that form factor, I'm not sure a $400 premium is that outrageous. Admittedly I am a SFF PC fan, and am glad to see a little movement beyond the usual stuff. Silverstone has a really small Mini ITX case coming out that uses a riser to allow for full length gfx cards. Add in mSATA and you can really go small

Good piece on what went wrong with Freeman in Minnesota, for those interested

Pushing Freeman as Vikings QB too early hurt Frazier
The pros are designed for video professionals who pay a ton for their hardware to edit and create those videos. These are not made for us or to play Crysis 4 at 80 FPS at 4k on ultra settings. I don't know shit about video editing but I am interested in their design philosophy and high bandwidth external solutions like thunderbolt.

For the regular Joe not into gaming an Air or Mini has more than enough power to create a document or watch some porn while reading about smelly anuses on a videogame forum. I gave my MacBook Pro from 2006 to a family member and that fucker still works just fine as long as you don't try to keep too many tabs open. 1 gig of ram (might be 2 can't remember) can only go so far.

Oh and happy new year everyone. Hopefully everyone is healthy in the new year and the Pats get humiliated in the divisional to another shitty young qb.
