They're stuck trotting out the likes of Orton, Batista, and Triple H. Stuck as in Vince and Triple H are making it that way whether you like it or not! Tough crap, bro!Nobody wants to see Orton or Batista in a title match in ANY capacity at Mania.

FANTASY BOOKING ALERT!
Have Bryan-Triple H wrestle at Mania. If Bryan wins, he faces the winner of Orton-Batista at the end of Mania. Make it a Bret-Luger-Yoko type of deal. Then have the triple threat in Seattle.
Let that be his last match. Don't want to see the same result like that!!Curtis Axel in... May? I think?

I would be okay with Bryan vs HHH at WM for a title shot at the next PPV. The crowd reaction to HHH would be great. They could build it up over the next few months. Just watch some old Vince vs Stone Cold stuff for inspiration. Let Bryan get some wins before WM so he's on a hot streak going in and make HHH loses clean. HHH could then admit he's impressed with Bryan. Could be fun. Doesn't fix their god awful WM main event though.
Bryan winning at some no name PPV doesn't mean shit.
It's Wrestlemania or nothing. He has to be exposed in a big capacity to the casual watchers. No one is going to give a shit if he beats HHH then wins a title at a PPV no one is going to watch

Might as well try. It's too late to have him go over at Wrestlemania. They can't give him a proper build any more so they are fucked.

Also how much leeway do they really have with Batista if a wm win for the title was really in his contract?
Also I genuinely can't remember anyone ever liking Orton. When did this happen?
We don't know that it's a clause in his contract. It could just be a verbal understanding in which case the remaining year and a half of his career would be very awkward. Also how much leeway do they really have with Batista if a wm win for the title was really in his contract?

Orton is a fucking excellent wrestler. He's like a figure skater in the ring. Even people who watch wrestling for the first time will notice and call out how clean he is with his moves. Dude ran great matches all summer with DBry before his heel turn. The booking is killing him, but it's not his fault. You know who else likes Randy Orton? Dean Ambrose. Says he watches all of Randy's matches. I feel like the rest of the roster should too.
Years ago I raged at the thought, but the company has become such a joke that part of me actually wants to see it happen now. lolCena couldn't need it less.
Yeah I remember those matches. They were really good. If I remember correctly one of those matches got stop because of DB concussion.
I am mesmerized by this last gif... I've watched probably loop 1000 times now and I am still trying to breakdown how awesome it is. Thank You.
Hulk Hogan in the background shredding adds that extra element.
Triple threatshould never be used to win any championship. So lame.
i still can't believe thatI think the problem is Batista is rumored to have been promised "you'll come back huge and win at WM" as part of his new deal. So Bryan winning a title shot at WM and winning the belt at ER in his hometown is the most predictable, boring outcome to come of this.
Imagine Punk not getting a title shot and beating Cena at MITB 2011 after his big promo and just fighting Sheamus or something. It's bizarre. People wanted someone new and different then, and three years later they're still waiting.
It feels like the crowd's really into Roman Reigns in a "we know you're exactly what they're looking for, and we'll give you a shot at winning us over" place with the crowd, too. Ryback had that when he was a face. Go watch Ryback vs Punk stuff, it's weird how over he was.
Also, I'm not into anyone shitting on Cena or Orton. Those are two of the best pro wrestlers ever, and Orton is definitely peaking now. He's just already old news and should be in the Hogan role in a Hogan vs Rock type of feud. They've just kept doing Hogan vs Hogan shit instead for a full decade now, and it's boring. It's a waste of good talent.

It's also kinda the only thing except for Bryan winning the title at WM that would make sense and leave the crowd somewhat happy. You can give the Bryan vs Authority story the payoff it needs, while still letting Batista have his moment.I think the problem is Batista is rumored to have been promised "you'll come back huge and win at WM" as part of his new deal. I wouldn't say they are two of the best ever. I will say that out of Orton and Cena, who are both kinda getting shit on, I feel more sorry for Orton. He seems like he's actually been kinda trying recently; it's just that still nobody has a reason to give a crap about Orton vs Cena for the millionth time. Also Orton needs to do something other than whine to the Authority in the ring every single week. Also, I'm not into anyone shitting on Cena or Orton. I don't think the Bryan vs HHH match is so bad, it's certainly warranted storyline wise and would have a very hyped crowd. But that Orton/Batista match is dead in the water on its own.
I understand that HHH needs a match at WM because it's been planned for like 10 months, and Punk just split when he was supposed to be in that match.
But the biggest combination possible, is Bryan winning the title at WM in a Triple Threat, and then beating HHH to defend the title in the main event of Extreme Rules in Seattle.
No, it's a damn terrible idea.
Wrestlemania is supposed to either end or start storylines, because it's supposed to be the main event of wrestling for the yer.
Having Bryan face HHH for a title shot at the next PPV is just bad booking.
No it isn't. It ends the Authority storyline.
And people used to fight for title shots at Wrestlemania all the time, before they gave Money in the Bank its own PPV.
People don't care about the Bryan/authority storyline. They care about the Bryan/title storyline.
