Yep. People don't realize what a dominant defense can and will do to any offense. Wilson was getting crapped on for the offense's performance the last few games when Seattle was up against SF, ARI and NO. Even STL has an underrated defense that has a dangerous pass rush. He admittedly was off against ARI where his throws were just off the mark, he played well in the other games. The NFC west will be a lot of fun next year with all these power defenses along with drawing the AFC west next year.

I hate it whenever those ESPN announcers blab about how the super bowl winning team is a trend setter in a copycat league and how all the other teams will try to do the same. And year after year, the current winner is usually nothing like the previous winner (barring a repeat).

I think its safe to say that it was the worst Superbowl in the past 15 years, unless you are a Seahawks fan of course.

I said it earlier but, I hate it when people say games are boring cause it's not a close score. I loved the game, it was a complete game start to finish. It's great to see a team make great plays and just not let up the pressure.
Idk, I'm feeling like I'm one of the few people that feel this way. People seem to prefer games play like a youtube highlight reel than an actual football game.

I would like to see this too. The transformation taking place on his face was amazing. You could see it in his eyes, he just knew he was going to make a great throw, then devastation.
I kind of disagree here.
My prediction is one of two things will happen this season.
Either the league is going to severely change the rules of pass interference(which they are rumored to be meeting about) which will likely neuter much of Seattle's defensive philosophy(which consists of blatant PI on almost every play) or most other teams are going to see the advantage of how exploiting this strategy can help their team and more teams will begin implementing a more aggressive pass coverage into their existing defensive strategies.
They won't outright copy the Seahawks but I guarantee a number of teams, barring no rule changes, will begin to try and implement that aspect into their existing strategies. I mean the last two Super Bowl winners have both employed some very aggressive pass coverage strategies and found success. Seattle just took it to another level. So honestly you could say that the last two winners have been similar in that regard.

Agreed, I think we see copycat defensively, also Coaches stop being so hard-nosed, cause they know you can be successful and fun too. That's been missing from football for a while.

I think Blowouts are always Boring. Thats just my opinion though.
I dont mind the physicality but I was extremely frustrated at the inconsistency of calls this season. To me if you are a ref and are letting this stuff slide, which was happening all season, and not just for Seattle, you are indirectly choosing sides in a game by giving whichever team is cheating the hardest the advantage. To me I think that creates a crappy end product.
In not sure what the solution is but it's maddening to watch a team like Seattle basically interfere on every play and then see the opposite team get called for a ticky tack PI call later in that same game. Frankly if you aren't gonna call one, don't call the other, and if you are gonna call one, call them all.

I just feel bad for Peyton. Not that he lost the game, but the fact idiotic people are going to blame him for the loss. Sure he is responsible to a pick 6 and another INT but the Seahawks dominated that game in all aspects. The Broncos lost as a team. Peyton Manning did not lose it for them.

But my belief is either don't call anything and allow a fair playing field for both teams to do it(would probably make for a more interesting league to me). Kind of how we've gotten with offensive linemen holding, Where it happens almost every play but only the most blatant examples get called. Or call everything as the rules state so that it gets stomped out and we aren't having a situation where the bigger cheater gets the advantage because the refs are only gonna call a penalty for PI once and a while. Often with no rhyme or reason.
PI is called less in the playoffs though. And I didn't see a clear bias towards the Hawks last night. Actually wouldn't mind if they did that in the regular season, less interruptions, just needs to be called consistently less.
