That totally old grandpa walker was weird but funny.

The bus just totally catches on fire, lasted about 10 minutes lol.

Hmm toilet water the nectar of Gods

Him looking over the rack looked hilarious.

that tire roll was such a troll push

Eugene finally getting some release.

Yup, that faceplant was amazing lol

In retrospect this episode was a homage to Loony Tunes.

To comic readers here: A while back I read the first volume but I found it to be kind of boring and too over the top. Like it's too "comic bookey" compared to the show, who's tone is more realistic and based in drama. Does the comic become more dramatic and serious later on or does it still remain comic-like? I want to continue reading but that part of it was off-putting for me.

I read up to the prison, I would say it absolutely gets more drama focused, but it is still always somewhat more comic book 'dramatic' compared to the show. I think it's a due to the mediums more than anything, people sometimes laugh about how 'dramatic' the show is compared to others, but it's being adapted from a fairly unrestrained medium (modern american comics). Things that happen in the comics tend to be slightly less grounded, the Governor is a walking evil guy stereotype compared to his TV show self.

Abe i can understand but if i was in Ricks group i wouldn't have cared bout Eugenes bullshit. They met a REAL scientest in the flesh. There is no coming back. Deep inside you can tell Rick knew this, he didn't have a major hard on for DC.

I really hope eugene and abe stick around.

he's not dead, they have to show his sob story and redeem his character before killing him.

I feel like they already did within the span of his revelation. His reaction and deception was very... human... so it's not on par with other betrayals in the series. Aside from him sabotaging things, his deception wasn't actively screwing people over or getting others killed, and they even show how he saved Abes life in the flash back. His flash back really is his sob story in and of itself, he is clearly not meant for 'this world' and is terrified and quite sadly pathetic.

Not too mention that Eugene came clean instead of being 'found out', and he then gets beaten (quite possibly to death) by Abe, who we see to be something of a monster in this episode.

This season is going to go through 4-5 episodes and may progress a couple of days.

Weird that they decided to jump to Abraham's group instead of just finishing the hospital story first since Daryll is already back with Ricks group soon after the others left. Get that information out there on exactly what went down, and then move to Abraham's group having issues on the road, and then have Ricks group catch up.

Not sure I agree with the jump to Abraham's group at this particular juncture. Enjoyed the episode though. Funny I really didn't give too much thought on whether Eugene was lying or not. Didn't really cross my mind. I was just thinking hey, finally a plot point for the country/world as a whole!

Will be interesting to see what Abraham does next.

A lot of damn filler with issues that take less than 5 mins to read. Could pack 3-4 issues into one.

Anyway liked the episode, but the flashback editing was just weird. Maybe I missed something, but I didn't get the hint that it was family and who the other guys were. Missed some context.

Mentioned it earlier but

Mild comic spoilers
Abraham and his family had held up in a supermarket and Abraham ventured out to either look for help or supplies (I forget which) when he came back some bandits broke in and raped his wife and daughter. In a rage he brutally kills the bandits in front of his family and they become afraid of him and run away.

Best episode of the season imo.

No it's a (really good) comic book throughout.

Yeah thanks, I just didn't remember it, as the comics are just all over the place.

I don't understand why Eugene didn't stop watching once she had caught him. So weird.

I think it is just something that has been going on for a while. The couple don't care and Eugene doesn't care that they know either.

Minor comic spoilers are tagged:

Really glad that this season is using pivotal moments from the book as its foundation, and using "filler" that flesh out the characters. So glad they haven't been dragging plot points like this out for the entire season. The sooner the crew gets to
Alexandria
the better. I hope the first half of the season ends up with
The crew reuniting and escaping the Zombie horde.

That spread in the book was always ridiculously awesome.

Really strong episode this week. Maybe it is because these characters are new, or at least unexplored, but they are much more interesting than the older group members. Glen and Maggie haven't really had anything to do this season and could be gone for all I care. The season is 4 for 5 so far, definitely the best run they have had.

Still quite frustrated with ending 3 straight episodes with cliffhangers that won't get resolved for a month. Next episode better run all the way up to, and past, when Daryl comes out of woods at the church with whoever is with him. We all know the storylines will dovetail together like the lead-up to Terminus but these cliffhangers and jumping back and forth on the timeline is cheap and growing tiresome.
It's called buying time; either the writers are having a hard time on deciding where the plot/characters ultimately go next after some major arc, or they don't have enough money to advance things at a respectable pace (which given the show's ratings would be really surprising).

It is indeed growing stale. Last night's episode was horrible; what transpired could have easily happened in 15 minutes, not an entire episode. I actually thought the "Bethisode" was vastly superior to this.

The Walking Dead is really suffering, it seems. This season started out really strong, but it's back to being a mess. The acting is taking a notable hit too -- even characters like Maggie are coming off as really bland and uninspired. Arbaham is kind of meh, too. Just stick with the badassery we saw out of Rick Grimes. He's like the Jack Bauer of post-apocalyptic television shows.

I concur that the next ep should not devote the majority of its time to events that transpired prior to where the plot already is. Enough of that. Wrap it up in one scene at the beginning.

Visiting the CDC wouldn't serve any purpose. Eugene's proposed plan involved getting to DC to activate some supposed counter-measure. That wouldn't have been possible from a local CDC building. Rick's group also already knows that there's nothing at any CDC location that would be worthwhile to Eugene as the CDC made zero progress on fighting the virus.

Just watched it and wow, that episode was as bad as or probably worse than last weeks. Apart from Eugene's actor being completely useless it was the obvious from his introduction he didn't know shit. It was a plotline that went nowhere. Most of the scenes this week were mind numbingly boring. Also why did Eugene's family leave him? It didn't make that clear. If it was because he killed some dude that was trying to kill them then thats fucking stupid.

Why do people who can't seem to stand the show take the time to nnot only take time out of their day to watch it but then go on the internet to bitch about it? There are so many shows I hate but I don't waste my time or others with them.

Anyway I thought it was a pretty fun episode, Abraham is moving up to close to my favorite character.

C-tier episode, only rescued by Eugene's revelation and the subsequent WSHH-worthy ownage.

I'm fairly let down after last week's episode, TBH.

Abraham's family left him due to the brutality they witnessed him showcase in dispatching their attackers. It's unknown exactly how long ago that happened but we can presume it was fairly early in the outbreak due to his Wife deciding to take the kids and try to survive out in the world. So at that point, that kind of brutality would've still been seen as extreme by most people.

The fact the CDC found no cure and essentially proved the infection is irreversible is pretty relevant information for someone who claims to be in the know. At the least bringing it up in coversation could have exposed him as a fraud, even if it was inadvertently.

Comic Spoiler
If the show follows the path of the comics, he is still alive and well. But who knows if that will happen considering they have killed off people who are currently alive in the comics.

Great. =\

There's got to be some sort of civilized order in the country, right? I'm not talking about one man like the governor taking control of a small town. I'm talking government controlled.

You guys can spoil me from the comics.

Comic Spoilers:
None so far IIRC but there are *much* larger towns/communities

Except that his claim was that he was apart of a Gov't project that is way above the CDC's grade. Basically a conspiracy theorists wet dream of a top secret Gov't project creating biological viral warfare. So the CDC wouldn't even know where to start whereas the people who designed it would've created an anti-viral/cure as a part of the development of it.

His claim was the type that would normally be written off out of hand but seeing as how the idea that the dead could reanimate would also have been written off out of hand before the outbreak, it becomes more believable.
