Some of us don't read the comics and figured this was Kirkman's "get the show to an ending" card. But like Kirkman usually does: WILDCARD, BITCHES! YEE-HAW! *ejects Eugene from the bus*

Though, Kirkman has stated he realizes this isn't like the comic books to where he can keep a "never ending TV show" on air and NEEDS to end it sometime in the future.

No, that's Frank Darabont. Robert Kirkman is the creator of the Comic Book series and main writer of the comics and TV show with a small group of writers that help him with the episodes. He basically has veto power on some storylines and consults with the TV writers on what to do.

Some comic spoilers ahead:

I'm curious about how the rest of the season will play out.
I assume the group will join up and continue moving towards DC if they keep the direction that the comic takes. But outside of Eugene's suggestion, is there any other reason to go? Originally, we don't find this out until they are really close to Alexandria.

Fuck that. Negan is totally happening and Dwight needs to be there for that to happen. Kirkman isn't going to change that scenario. Abe might suicide, but Dwight and Negan will happen.

I still think Abe won't kill himself.

Promo spoilers.
That sneak peek makes me think it was just a kid in that house, or maybe a kid walker. They don't usually give away that much in these sneak peeks, so I'm guessing it's a red herring.

I hope they continue to D.C. anyway. I liked the idea of a road trip across the country and I'm sort of tired of Georgia by now.

Next week looks pretty good.

I knew that guy was full of shit. He made no sense on how he wanted to cure it. He just kept throwing out big words, fight fire with fire. Like how the hell can anyone think they can get to DC, work some magic, release some pathogen that works on human but only target the dead.

It sounded so unbelievable. I thought he was just some janitor at the CDC who might have heard things. I didn't know he was some random nobody only wanting to get to DC to survive.

Apparently. The Walking Dead was never actually going to have a legit "Save the world!" storyline - it just wouldn't have fit with the tone that they've worked so hard to establish throughout the past 4+ seasons. That, and it was just plain dumb.

Just know that I immediately realized I missed the K in the name but was just way too lazy to edit it :p

Speaking of all this save the world stuff. I'm always wondering how this show will actually end. It's going to be really tough to find a satisfying conclusion.

ok, i was hoping that the walking dead was approaching the end with eugene having the "cure". i had my doubts about him, but it seems that it will drag on for several seasons.

Yeah this show is kinda mess for me. Its same shit over and over finally when I thought we are going somewhere, its back to square one.

Great episode.

You know I was feeling the episode was dragging a little but it picked up. Was great throughout just a little slow.
