I also wanted to mention how completely pointless that Terminus flashback scene was. I think we got when the lady explained in the first time, and from their crazy psycho room.

There's not enough ham for all the HAMFISTS of this show.

I'm wondering if we're going to keep getting them, I'm not sure what his exact wording was, but it's possible the Terminus people didn't actually kill all the rapists/murderers and simply drove them out. Maybe it's them who has Beth?

They're doing the Supernatural thing of having 'THEN' and 'NOW' though, the wording just bugs me for some reason.

I think with the 'THEN' and 'NOW' thing is maybe to show how good their peope was before what ever happend to them to make them change. Could also be to show what similarities they had to what Rick's group is like just now and how Rick's group could just change to. I don't know lol.

With Beth is looks like she has been taken to a city or some kind of complex. They may be going to try and show us like beth toughening not to Carol level but give her a bit more ball as she has to try and survive on her own.

I honestly think they need a major shakeup of the cast this season. A large chunk need to die off or go their separate ways or something. The appeal of the first few seasons was that main and beloved characters could and did die. So when you saw them in a bind, you actually got worried for them.

Now we are at the "they are going to feel pretty stupid when they find out they are dealing with the main cast" phase where there is no tension and it's just a matter of seeing how each main character magics their way out of whatever trouble of the week they find themselves in.

I don't know any of the comics or whether they are forced to keep characters more or less alive for future events.... but damn. What they went through over the last 2 episodes should have seen at least a quarter of them dead, and probably another quarter seriously injured and being cared for by the rest... to great burden.

Instead they all magically survived and even managed to reunite with each other after being scattered to the winds.

It's even more jarring when you compare it (game series spoilers)
with both telltale games where pretty much everyone dies by the end and you are left with a small shattered group that is a shell of what it once was. It just seems awful easy to survive in what should be an extinction level catastrophe for our species... for that one group.

Some random thoughts after the show:

- They have upped the Gore levels :)
- The flashbacks were terribly done and probably unnecessary.
- Its really bugging me that Maggie, Daryl, anybody hasn''t mentioned Beth. Fuck sake Maggie you could ask around in case someone knows what happened to her.
- Carol is now a God-Tier Badass. Rambo level. Probably my new favorite character.

Good start, let's hope the show keeps up the pace. The show is at its best when they don't get bogged down in one place and keep the action levels up.

Daryll tells Maggie in the first minute of the episode what was happening to beth

A little late to the party but man that was a great episode. If it hasn't been done already, someone needs to make a "Kept you waiting, huh?" Carol gif.

It was a good episode, but seriously, some of the main cast need to die.

I knew none of them would die when all those jabronis were getting their throats slit and that's the problem. Where's the suspense?

It's always unnamed jobbers that die because the main cast aren't allowed to

that firework though, so perfectly aimed

Oh also, i agree that i was really obvious that none of them would die, like even though glen is a good character, if he'd just had his throat cut there and then, it would at least prove that the writers aren't scared to kill anyone off.

Can someone explain something for me?

TWD S4
What was with the odd timeskip with Bob in Season 4? Why was he suddenly wandering around like some homeless dude? Why did Glenn/Darryl act like they didnt notice him?

That was a flashback showing what happened to him before he met up with the current group. That was the first time they met him.

That was a flashback showing how Bob was brought into the camp.

Herschel's farm: burned down / overrun
Prison: blew up / overrun
Woodbury: burned down / overrun
Terminus: blew up / overrun in a DAY

No sanctuary is right. You see any of these characters coming to stay for the night, expect flaming zombies eating your face in the morning.

Typical red shirts man. The moment I saw those 4 dudes first in line I knew they were gonna day and they would magically stop at Glenn.

I did think Bob was gonna get it though when Gareth was doing his thing.

Well Terminus was just asking for it with the shoddy security they had set up.

I think we can afford to lose Bob. I'd lay good money on him not lasting the season.

Anyone else feel the episode should have been the season finale of last year? It had everything. I love action packed episodes with music. Most of the time the episodes consists of talking and more talking. Its only the finale of a season that has the most action packed shots.

That was a pretty great start of the season. It did bug me though that Carol's face was pretty much all cleaned up when she reunited with the group. As if she had the time to go clean herself whilst escaping that hell hole. She was badass though. Tyrese too, damn.

I could definitely see this as 4's finale. But the way 4 ended was good, though, and it gives way for how this season opened.

Ohhhhh. Well that makes sense I guess. I hope Bob doesn't die, as he is a competent brother, unlike Tyrese.

I don't think they need to worry about viewership right now though. Like 17 million people watched Season's 5 first episode.

Yeah partly because Season 4 ended with a great cliffhanger and shitloads of people wanted to see what would happen to Rick and the gang.

Rubbing the blood into your face always seemed a bit too risky for me anyway. I mean, whatever kills you after a zombie bite must also be in the blood and guts. So getting it that close to your eyes and mouth seems incredibly dangerous.

Anyone else think Chad Coleman (Tyreese) looked like he'd packed on about 20-30 pounds in the offseason?

I was watching Always Sunny yesterday and didn't realize he had a camo in that show. "Eventually I blew the crotch out of them things!"

Yeah them bat teases indeed. (Comic Spoiler)
Was it not a baseball bat that Negan uses to kill Glenn with in the comics. Think it may be a big hint to him.

Carol is such a badass.

And that Rick backstab with the AK-47 was lifted straight out of Counterstrike. LOL

That guy in the post-credit scene. Is that the guy who helped Rick in early Season 1 and later turned crazy when they found him alone in that town again?

EDIT: My DVR only started recording from the point where they were just preparing to kill whoever walks through the door. Did I miss anything?

Yep that's him.
I just love the way Eugene reacts to this.

Yeah, what the fuck with a post-credit scene... hell, a post-preview scene. I have never seen that. Our recording stopped just as the person was about to be revealed.

Also I'll agree with the thought that someone should have died in Terminus. Not very realistic, and their group is too big.
