Yeah, what the fuck with a post-credit scene... hell, a post-preview scene. I have never seen that. Our recording stopped just as the person was about to be revealed.

Also I'll agree with the thought that someone should have died in Terminus. Not very realistic, and their group is too big.
The group is too big.. that only makes me more hopeful that we'll get a 'red wedding' episode on TWD this season.

The violence was so visceral this episode. I really thought Glenn was done for there. I think it would have been so awesome and shocking.

Welcome to post MCU. I welcome the post-credit scene.

I don't mind the following getting axed:
-Glenn (terrible character)
-Tara (actress is pretty bad)
-Tyreese (outside of rage-mode, he's too wishy washy)
-Eugene (the character looks so silly, but I know he's necessary for the storyline)

That's The Walking Dead in a nutshell.

Honestly I want Darryl to die
hes one of the untouchables along with michonne rick and carl

carol is joining their ranks soon because why else would the writers give her such a huge episode dedicated to the character doing cool shit.

The action was good. They upped the ante on the violence. I cannot believe the FCC approved the bat to the head and throat slashing. This episode was all tieing up loose ends left over from season 4. Looking forward to the show starting a new chapter in this story.

Maybe to kill her off next week?

Didnt T-Dog do something cool one week then get killed off the next?

t-dog or anyone on the show has not had as much development as carol

the entire purpose of that andrea zombie was to show that carol was taking the unfilled spot that comic andrea had in the group. shes not going any time soon bitch survived alone for months and for weeks alone in a walker infested prison

Pretty sure the FFC have no control over what they show as its on cable. It would be AMC making those decisions.

oh well, Terminus arc surely ended quickly.

honestly? That was a good first episode. I hope it stays at this level for the whole season but I doubt it.

People wondering about the identity of the guy from the group of rapists in the end of episode flashback:
how do you know that, it doesn't look like him at all.

Because of german TV I couldn't see the throat sclicing scene...but a walker eating the flesh and eyes out of a womans face is totally okay, alright.

Ummm I am watching it on Fox Asia and I think they censored it because the throat slitting scene doesn't seem like what it was described in here. Basically, I only saw the guys getting knocked out with the bat and the knife moved to their throats before the camera cuts away, I think. Was that how it was for you guys in the US?

they knocked the guys out with the bat, slit the throat, blood spurts everywhere and you see the blood moving down the trough towards rick and company.

They pretty much showed the whole thing, it was pretty graphic. Never saw anything like it on cable TV before except maybe game of thrones.

Ok it's definitely censored here. I just watched it again and the only blood seen is when it flows down the trough. No slitting of throats were shown. It always cuts away just before.

why would you want carol dead ? shes evolved into an interesting character over all those seasons would be a shame if she gets wasted now

I disagree. I think the whole TWD scenario, the distached methodical nature of it all, the bat + knife combo, made it feel more disturbing and unsettling than Breaking Bad's scene

The BB scene just went on for so long, detailing all the death throws and a had more realistic blood gush.

But regardless, both scenes are incredibly disturbing and far worse than any zombie gore.

Damn, guys. This was one of the most brutal episodes of TV. I rarely genuinely get shocked by scenes, but this was definitively making me nervous.

I like how there's now 3 actors from the wire (still waiting on Herc and McNulty).

I agree that there is probably coming a huge cleansing in characters soon. Or perhaps splitting of groups

NO! The show suffers when they split up. Large Group = Best Group.

It's way too early too bring in Negan. They haven't even made it to the ASZ yet. Sure they are doing things differently from the comics but I doubt they would change things that much.

Glad as fuck Mr. Tattoo face wasn't Negan.

I thought it was him, but then though it kind of weird that it would be him if these folks in the train car eventually [violently] took over Terminus (again was it?). I assume whoever that Negan lookalike was, he was killed in the retaking.

I think the most they can do is draw inspiration from it. I'm kind of miffed that (Hunters arc comic spoilers)
Rick and co. didn't go back and mutilate the Terminus people, though.
Was my favorite part.

Gotta love the excessive pain and suffering the terminus civilians displayed as they were eaten alive, because...well by horror movie logic, they deserved it

With everything that happened in the S4 finale and this premiere, I can't imagine how Rick and the rest of the group (Season trailer spoiler)
would let Gareth travel with them.

That was certainly a "that's it?!" moment.

The problem is the series has never been about the bigger picture, it's been about Rick and his journey. Giving any value to Eugene's plan is kind of against the idea as a whole.

In any case, judging by the canned science mumbo jumbo from the last episode, I'd say they are going in that direction.

I think they are trying to get the audience to like him with the whole "Then" and "Now" stuff. I guess he's going to join up and we/the group will slowly start to like him.

What I'm guessing, using some of the speech from the trailers, is
Gareth/Terminus survivors will end up capturing a couple of the main group, and force the rest to team up under penalty of having the hostages die. The whole Sasha line "where are our people!?!?!" line is what I'm going off of.

But they've made it a major plot point, more than they did in the comics. In the comics you find out that he's full of it fairly quickly. In the show, they've built it up so much more and it's gonna hit the non comic readers hard.

BLACKED OUT WORDS!!!!

If we're talking about the Eugene Comic story line a bit, I still feel like it's a "full of it" storyline in the show, or at least not completely thought out by Eugene. Creating some sort of virus to kill the walker's (or the virus in the walkers), would assuredly affect human survivors, as they also have the virus in them. He'll have to come up with some way for a virus pick and choose between a dead body and a live body. That doesn't seem plausible at all.

Maybe the survivors from Terminus will be hunting our group, so maybe we will still get the Hunters story arc. Sasha says "three of us are gone", which seems like a pretty strong hint

That firework scene was TERRIBLE.
She lit ONE firework and planned the trajectory.

Would have been more believable if she used a roman candle or chucked a flare.

I don't think so as I thought it was more of a shout out to what is out there waiting to be discovered. I'd love to see subtle hints to Negan and Co simply existing throughout this season. Little signs along the way does a lot for build-up, nothing says he/they must be fully introduced all at once.
Something about the hidden unknown danger in the darkness is far more unsettling than knowing who and what the bad guy is.
Anyway based on the style of Mr.Tattoo-face clothes and hair, he could be part of Negan's outposts crew.

Do we know Eugene is full of bullshit? Either he will die before they reach a DC and lose the cure or he's deceiving everyone. I don't buy him being a scientist (a mullet?) and his army buddies look more like right wing milita. And when they asked him to explain the cure he gave some non answer.
