Have they previously devalued the Styles Clash to be a non-finisher? This is so lame - one kickout is alright but two is just a joke, especially on free TV.
Uhh no. A few years it became really popular for Indy wrestlers to kick out of finishers instead of reversing them. This mentality has crept into the bigger shows as well.

it's also a sign of respect. If you kick out, you're really tough.

Well that was a fun night, in my opinion no show delivered to its fullest but Raw was the better of the two.

Impact had its moments but was just a mess overall and had no flow to it just random shit thrown in to show they can.

Anyway, Raw was crap except for HBK-Bret, but that was expected.

But goddamn TNA. Impact had some good moments/matches but shot themselves in the foot many, many times. They clearly have the pieces to make it work, especially since the E isn't so strong these days, but Jesus, stop screwing yourselves over.
Seriously, TNA was totally WCW all over again. Lots of good ideas, but the whole package just came together as one big clusterfuck.

The Nitro finish with the NWO beating down Foley was just icing on the cake. :lol

Too much unanswered stuff on Impact. Who is the masked man? Why did Flair come out on stage? Why is Hogan acting like a good guy one second then a bad guy the next? Who was in the 2nd limo? Why did they show the Nasty Boys just to have them destroy a dressing room? Why did Val Venis show up just to play poker like he has been there forever? Why in the world did they make him keep that gimmick? Why did Hogan say he was hanging with the boys in the back all day, but it took him an hour after the show started to get there in a limo? A big problem was the announcers. They fucking sucked and didn't put over anything.

How was this company going to make money again?

Selling ads on the internet for their murder site?

A better question is why the hell are they there to begin with? I fully understand that TNA is trying to get wrestlers that people recognize. But I don't think anyone was asking for those two.

Hogan is friends with them. They may have been a package deal.

Well yeah I agree, noone wants to see them, but if they are there atleast give them a purpose. I can't believe Hogan actually got them on tv though.

Did they get to do the pit stop?

That was pretty much their best gag.

Before stupid Rikishi went and one upped them with the stinkface.

They did that because every indy show has to be full of dramatic main-event-style matches or else no one would buy the DVDs for $20. No need to do it on free TV when you have PPVs to sell.

*yawn*

That Bret Hart stuff was just terrible.... they almost put me to sleep at the start of the show w/ Bret and Shawn.

The backstage stuff felt really dialed in on the part of Bret.

The last segment was boring and confusing... and *why* would they do a cliffhanger ending?

I have to admit though, Raw itself was pretty good. That tag team match served as a reminder as to how fun wrestling could be. I'm almost enticed to watch again next week!

I don't mean to sound like a total nub, but what are Edge and Mr. Kennedy upto these days? Are they on Smackdown? Fired? Injured?

Yeah, Edge is hurt but should be back soon enough and Kennedy has been fired for a while now.

Edge = Very Bad ankle injury
Kennedy = Fired for dumping Randy on his head

TNA was trying to give you a PPV caliber match. That was the point.

Okay, The Pope is kinda awesome.
He is.

At first I thought he was Elix Skipper because of the glasses and du-rag, what happened to that dude?
His hurricanrana off that cage is still one of the best moments in TNA. He should come back.

Edge is injured (AGAIN), and Mr. Kennedy Kennedy got released, and wants to get into acting now which pretty much means he probably wasn't all too serious about this wrestling thing in the first place.

Kennedy was fired for sucking at his job and Edge blew out his knee last fall and was expected to be out at least a year.

First time i've watched wrestling since college.

Honestly, Earl Hebner looked younger than half the people they rolled out on TNA, which is apparently shot on Double Dare's old set by the size of the arena.
Heart on Raw was okay, but he must really need money.

Oh yeah, what the fuck up was up with 1998 Sting in the rafters again? I don't need to see that shit. Horribly put together show. Plus Hall and Xpac get inside the building and to the ring within 10 minutes, but it takes Mick Foley 3 hours to get inside the building?

Huh? I just finished watching TNA on Spike TV and Raw on The Score. The show started/ended 20 minutes late on The Score though.

I laughed when they were doing the whole 1996 nWo angle all over again with random people being knocked out backstage.
