Jericho is gonna do it.

Jericho winning the rumble and flaunting it in DX's face is too awesome to actually happen.

Hunter-Shawn will be the last two in the rumble easy.

Also ugg at the smackdown spoilers:

DX came out but were interrupted by Rey Mysterio, who told Shawn Michaels that he will beat Undertaker at the Royal Rumble. The Straight Edge Society came out as well, only to have Teddy Long come out. He announced C.M. Punk vs. Triple H and Shawn vs. Mysterio. Scratch the tag title match.

(1) Triple H beat C.M. Punk via DQ. The society attacked Hunter, but HBK made the save.

(2) R-Truth beat Chris Jericho.

(3) IC champion Drew McIntyre beat John Morrison in a no DQ match to retain the IC Title. Drew got serious welts from kendo stick shots.

(4) Women’s champion Michelle McCool beat “Piggie” James (Layla as a fat Mickie). Garnered some boring chants.

At this point Undertaker went under the ring. … Batista confronted HBK backstage.

(5) Rey Mysterio vs. Shawn Michaels ended in a No Contest when Batista attacked them. Hunter came out and threw himself and Batista over to the ropes to the outside. Taker appeared in the ring and chokeslammed both Mysterio and Shawn to close the show.

There was supposed to be (it seems) an eight-man tag with Batista, Team Punk, and Jericho vs. Mysterio, DX, and Taker, but Batista left because of some sort of kink in his knee

I really want to say it's going to be Ted. Orton beats Seamus, Ted wins RR and goes against Orton.

Shawn will chase UT so there doesn't need to be a title involved (UT could even drop to Rey and set up Rey/Dave, even though that's yawn city), and HHH will fight Seamus for no good reason other than they're buddies irl.

I don't know, I wish it wasn't coming down to HHH/HBK, but seem like the two most likely.

The sad thing is, Hunter really doesn't have any story going into Mania, but because HBK does, he automatically gets one.

Some possibilities
Hunter wins faces Sheamus
Shawn wins faces Taker.
Morrison wins faces Batista.
Cena wins takes on Sheamus.
Batista wins but challenges Taker at No Way Out.

They're not going to let Seamus headline a WM.
UT has enough star power that he doesn't need a title in his WM match.

don't ask me to explain WM13, that whole thing was a mess.

Ted's SOOOOO not ready to headline WM. Give him some time to actually build up to a feud at that level.

It's going to be Hunter or Shawn. No one on the SD or ECW rosters has a shot in hell of winning it.

Besides, Cena just won it in 2008. They're not going to have him win it again this soon.

Shawn won back to back when he was the golden boy, so anything could happen.

I'm sticking with Ted, though. That's my pick.

Cody's going to toss Ted out. ;)

As for Cena, this is the new, predictable WWE. They've painted themselves into a corner by making the Rumble winner main event Mania. It's ALWAYS a guy that's already at that level and probably doesn't need the push anyway.

I say they take a chance and strap a rocket on someone's back who's "just about" there.

During an interview with SLAM! Wrestling, Diamond Dallas Page said he's talked to Eric Bischoff about possibly joining TNA down the line for a short-term program and perhaps even wrestling. The former WCW World Heavyweight says he has about ten more matches left in the tank.

As far as Savage is concerned, despite their past differences, Hogan would love to have him on board with TNA. He feels if Savage dyed his gray beard and got back into shape, he would be good enough to return to the ring.

"I'd LOVE to see the Macho Man," Hogan said. "Dye that old gray Santa Claus beard he's got. Get back in shape. And teach these young guys how to do it because I could sure use his help. He's got a great mind for the business."

I guess all the 45-50 year old wrestlers Hogan & Bischoff have brought to TNA are not quite old enough so they're taking it to the next level and bringing back wrestlers in the 55-60 year old range now.

They need to bring them in so the 50 year olds can get over Savage and DDP, so that the 45's become new stars.

If Morrison was built up just a little more going into the Rumble, it could have been him. I was kinda calling that at the time. He had insane momentum during Smackdown's Summer but that kinda got pissed away when he won the IC Championship.

Right now, I agree that it could be Ted.

heaven forbid they actually defend the World Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania.

Instead of having Jerishow(a tag team that spent months dominating the tag team division and actually giving the belts some value again) job to them only to completely scrap them days later to focus on one on one(probably for the world title) matches at Mania.

Hunter doesn't need a storyline. Remember when he pushed Edge out of the way and faced Cena at Mania just cuse he wanted to?

The hope of that being good left when Shane did. It will just be Steph and Hunter.

Those are McMahons, I mean when they're gone too. Once Vince is in the ground, I kind of see Steph bailing out and retiring rich.

Urgh, the only SD spoilers I can find are terrible.

Will
Punk/Gallows
get their
Tag Title shot
? Or were they screwed by Teddy in a storyline???

The spoilers were so short.

If she did then that would leave it with HHH. I don't see him leaving the business.

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

A decision has been made by TNA and Spike TV to move TNA iMPACT! permanently to Monday nights, reports the The Wrestling Observer.

The second Monday night iMPACT! is scheduled to air on March 1 following the success of the first Monday iMPACT! on January 4.

The March 1 episode will air at 9:00 p.m. EST, but the official weekly timeslot has not been confirmed yet.

The likely taping schedule will be live on Mondays one week, then tape the following week's iMPACT! the next day on Tuesdays.
oh snap!

apparently, every other monday will be live and the next week's ep will be taped on tuesdays.

Dumb, should have been live every Monday.

Just the fact they're going to Monday ever week is impressive. Going live every week would put them in the grave. Remember, WWE wasn't live every week when they first started. It takes time, dude. Unfortunately, TNA has less time than the WWE did back then! :lol

Well, at least HHH cares about wrestling. He wouldn't be a bad owner at all.

Midgets, glowsticks, wristbands, T-shirts and DVD's. Trips is complacent with his current role in WWE, which has little to no wrestling involved.

Eh, the WWF did the same thing back in '96-97, I believe, as it's a way to save on costs. I have no problem with alternating live shows if it's more financially rational for TNA.

They need to have the tag titles on an actual team, and an actual team that competes in each and every week.

Give them to Cryme Tyme, Legacy, CM Jesus/Luke Gallows, or the Hart Dynasty. DX hasn't done a single drop of pig shit with them.

Can't believe they wasted Jericho and Show building up the belts like this, I was really hoping for a Edge & Christian reunion.

The WWE has no idea what they're doing with most of their championship. It's kinda sad that the ECW Championship is the best booked belt in company. I bet it's probably because Vince doesn't give a shit about ECW.

I'm hoping for a Rated RKO reunion, but I know that won't happen. I can't believe
DX didn't drop the titles before the Rumble
. DX have destroyed the build JeriShow gave the titles.

Anybody watching Psych? Cena's on it tonight. I hope he doesn't taint one of my favorite shows.

I'm calling it here first: Edge returns to RR and wins the damn thing like Cena did back from his fake injury.

Edge vs. Undertaker at Wrestlemania, but UT wins again. (Vince can't break UT's streak when he's so close to retiring)

I swear Triple H main goal in the WWE is to destroy the credibility of the tag team championship. Some tag team must have killed his dog or something for him to treat the titles like he does.

Remember when he buried Londrick while they were tag champions and basically destroying the credibility of the entire division in one fell swoop?

Yeah, sad times indeed.

I mean he was really injured, but pretended he was supposed to be side-lined much longer than he really had been.

(2008 RR) vid
The normal recovery time for that injury did not match him coming back because of his athleticism/youth/etc. I mean it's not like he was supposed to be out 8 months, but he did come back a bit earlier than expected.

Looks like one of the members from the Young Bucks/Generation Me.

Don't quote me on that though.

Yeah, it's Matt Jackson, or "Max" as TNA is calling him, botching the set up for his top rope blockbuster move.

*edit, haha;

WWE wrestler Chris Jericho was arrested at a gas station in Kentucky early Wednesday morning after cops say he and a fellow wrestler were both "extremely intoxicated" in public.

39-year-old Jericho was taken into custody in Kenton County around 5 AM for "alcohol intoxication in a public place."

Jericho -- who was arrested along with fellow wrestler Greg "Hurricane" Helms -- was forced to smile for cop cam -- and TMZ obtained the mug shots.

Jericho and Helms were released on $120 bond -- each ... no that's not a typo.

:lol

Also, I was watching Claudio Castagnoli & Chris Hero's matches from their recent tour of Pro Wrestling NOAH and during the match against Kensuske Sasaki & Morishima, Claudio actually manages a no-hands airplane spin for a second on the 300+ pound Morishima :O

claudioairplaneslammorishima.gif

Claudio's in such great shape at the moment and has an excellent gimmick, i'm really suprised the WWE hasn't come in for him yet.

*edit, here's their matches from NOAH;

. The Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli & Chris Hero) vs Kensuke Sasaki & Takeshi Morishima;

Part 2; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koyyHXJJLms

Part 1; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWsXN3erO6c
Part 2; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kER_HvROJI

Also, this weeks' ROH on HDnet episode is up on Youtube;

Part 1; Jim Cornette, Tyler Black & Austin Aries promo
Part 2; The Briscoe Brothers vs Up in Smoke (Cheech & Cloudy)
Part 3; 'Skullkrusher' Rasche Brown vs Bobby Shields
Part 4; El Generico vs Kenny King - 1/2
Part 5; El Generico vs Kenny King - 2/2

The openning tag was alot of fun, and check out the main event - there's no such thing as a bad El Generico match and Kenny King is one of the best up and coming stars on ROH's roster.
