It's crazy to us to think how fast it all came together during the livestream marathon. What we need now are stories. Lots and lots of them. We've got a ton of leads already, but I'd be super interested to hear from anyone here on topic ideas or people that you think would make great interview/documentary subjects. Big stories and big topics, or small, intimate stories on individuals or groups. One example I always give is military families that use online gaming to keep in touch from afar or folks who are using gaming as a treatment for ADHD and/or depression. We've heard tell of people that have even used gaming as a kind of self-medicating therapy for recovering from trauma. I experienced this myself after the passing of my older brother, so that's kind of near and dear to my heart.
But we're also looking for inroads into subcultres we're aware of as well as any that have been long overlooked. We're extremely interested in Speedrunners, the rise of streaming, Twitch and Let's Plays, etc. as just one example. We'll of course be reaching out to these communities on our own, but no series like this can be made without input from people that know more and have better connections than we do. We're looking for personal connections, academic connections, professional or creative, and so on. So if there's something you think would work well for a story (or whole episode even!) of
