Umm.. I'm pretty sure that still exists.

Yep:

@Smuggler: Cough syrup makes me gag every time I take it. I avoid it whenever I can.

EDIT: And Riesen still exist too!! I get a bag from the corner store occasionally.

Riesen is a food that thankfully flopped?

You can get Riesen everywhere!

And Mr. Pibb is just called Pibb Xtra now, and I see it all the time in the US anyway.

when I was in high school they first introduced this stuff and in our cafeteria they had a soda machine with nothing but surge in it, and they were selling it for 35 cents a can! needless to say I was wired that whole school year on the stuff. This stuff also led to my first cavity

This stuff is still for sale in Norway. Best soda there is. I drink way too much of it.

Loved Surge. Cokes "Vault" soda is pretty much the same recipe, just re-branded.

I drank Vault a couple of years ago, and it tastes nothing like the Norwegian version of Surge, Urge. I don't know how American Surge tasted though...

On the flip side, best food item that flopped: Pepsi Blue

I loved this stuff, drank a bottle almost everyday. It's demise was one of the great American tragedies.

Were these ever in the UK? I brought one back from Thailand when I was younger and took it to school, everybody was quite amazed then. :lol

Kind of strange seeing Reddi-Bacon on the list, as there are about ten different companies selling the exact same concept today.
Pre cooked bacon's not the same as bacon in a pouch that you cook in your toaster.

does anyone remember the rainbow-coloured Wonder white bread that they sold (ate it when i was younger so it was definitely still around in the 90's)

looked a bit like this, but more rainbowy and not so neon, with a lot more colours:

that shit was awesome.

psychedelic bread...probably causes cancer.

what is it?

It's Josta. It tastes like melted twizzlers with a hearty dash of cilantro, raw sewage, and watery black bilge monster vomit. Not all remaining specimens have yet been destroyed, so be very careful to make sure that what you're holding isn't a bottle of Josta before you begin to swill.

If you look at the ingredients you see why, that shit has like 30 grams of sugar per cup! "Natural" my ass. Most yogurts other than Dannon Light & Fit are guilty of this as well.

In the US, Vault is Surge, just a lighter shade of neon green. And I drink Vanilla Coke all the time, it is everywhere in Florida.

Yeah, sugar in yogurt is pretty staggering. Most of them are as bad as soda, or worse.

Those Late Night Cheeseburger Doritos are VILE. Like I could only stand to eat two of them. It boggles the mind how they messed up so bad with that one, considering how good the Taco flavor is.

And yes, Pepsi Blue tasted really good. Like a melted slushie that had been bottled and then refrigerated. Still tasty.

EDIT: And yes, I was a huge lover of Surge. Vault is the exact same thing and is pretty prevalent in grocery stores in the US. I rarely see the bottle form, but Pepsi still does cases.

always hated the lemon flavoured cokes.. it tasted like someone rubbed one of those KFC wet wipes around the rim of the can. I miss vanilla coke and orange coke.. they were amazing!

Orange coke is what you make of it. When I drank pop, I used to mix orange Crush and Coke/Pepsi and call it "Tiger Stripe." Delicious.

Crystal Pepsi

Really?!! I loved that stuff with a passion back in the 90s, was a sad day when they stopped making it. I have the same feeling of sadness when it comes to Hi-C Ecto Cooler too. If GB3 ever gets made they need to start pumping out Ecto Cooler again.

Coming from someone who lives in Canada, ketchup chips are terrible. I can stand to eat them for the first few handfuls, but not long after they just become gross. Not to mention, their flavor tastes absolutely nothing like ketchup.

Damn straight! I *loved* Pepsi Blue! I bought a 12-pack off eBay a few years ago I missed it so much. I also have the shirt...

Doritos 3D's were so Goddamned good. Delicious.

I loved the 3Ds because they tasted like normal Doritos of old, back before they blew the flavor out by making them "Even Cheezier" 12 times in a row.

I found the coffee for desert comment a little odd, considering that coffee ice cream is both delicious and apparently popular enough to be in every store I've ever been to. However, I hate Jello, so....
