Livewire is by far my favorite drink...ever!

I love Mountain Dew, I love Orange Soda. It was a match made in heaven. Now I can't get the shit in Alabama. However, I feel like every other damn state still gets this shit. I've traveled through Florida and they had it. Traveled through Georgia and they had it and traveled through tennessee and they had it. It's like Pepsi Co. is just fucking with me.

But Livewire hasn't flopped and is easily found pretty much anywhere where I live (Midwest US)

Dr. Pepper: Red Fusion was awesome.

*sigh*

Damn this thread brings back the memories... Of all the ones posted, I really wish dnL, Sprite Remix, Pepsi Blue, Red Fusion, 3D Doritos, and Pepsi Twist would come back... ALL of them were awesome. I'd probably even say that they're all as good as the best (if not better) than the products that those companies sell these days.

It's odd to think that Coca-Cola can just slightly tweak Diet Coke, and sell it as Coke Zero, and its a massive success. Poor Pepsi One.

Oh! Wait! Wiki tells me that this shit is still sold in places in the USA. It's been gone in Canada for about 10 years.

It's called Pepsi Max now or something.

Sometimes I find them in my state, it's like every other gas station has them. But I'm the only one I know that actually enjoys the Livewire, so that's probably the reason why.

A few comments.

Mr. Pibb is certainly not a flop. It is easy to find at least in the South and Southwest, and several chain restaurants who carry Coke products have Mr. Pibb and not Dr. Pepper. It is disgusting though and I wish it would go away.

Riesen is awesome and just about every convenience store carries it.

I hate just about every Cheez-It and Dorito variation outside of the classic formula. I recently had Jalepeno Popper flavored Doritos which actually tasted semi how it should taste but translated horrible into chip form.

Like I said, it isn't available in Alabama. Where I live. So it really doesn't concern me how much stock you get...jerk :(

Want to ship me a crate of Livewire?

I don't know if these have flopped but this topic reminded me that I've wanted to try them. Individually wrapped peanut butter and jelly slices :lol

I'm just lazy enough for this to seem really awesome.

I think people are taking his want for Mr. Pibb the wrong way. I think he's saying he wants the original formula back and not the Pibb Xtra shit.

I did not know they changed the formula. If it happened anytime in the past 20 years though, then it has always been shit formula change or not.

I hope they bring back Holiday Spice this year

Can someone in Japan tell me how this tastes? Cause from reading Wiki it's from a tree...

Well, I thought them calling it Pibb Xtra meant they added some extra flavor in there some where.

In 2001, a new formula called Pibb Xtra was introduced with added cinnamon flavor,[3] replacing the original formula in many parts of the US.

From Wikipedia.

I'm in Japan, but I haven't seen it. I'll go to the store later and see if I can pick up a bottle.

In Norway we got a yellow ketchup years ago, I hated it. It looked horrible and it tasted strange.
Ketchup and mustard go together. Yellow ketchup? Just asking for confusion...

had a bottle. wasn't horrible, but didn't want any more.
I was going to post how much I miss this. To me, it was mental and once I conquored that, I like the idea of no coloring added.

I can't find it anywhere in upstate NY.

Once in a blue moon my college will have some, but that's so rare I hardly ever get to drink it anymore.

It disappeared after '08 on campus, I haven't seen it since. I think I remember seeing it at gas stations around here recently though?

This flopped hard too (maybe it was only regional, but it was around my area for about 2 months or so and now it's gone) but I liked it

It didn't flop, it was set to be available for 3 months from the very beginning.

Yeah that was good stuff. I think it was part of Mountain Dew's voting thing "Dewmocracy", where they put out like three flavors and people voted for the best tasting one on their website or something.

No, it wasn't. But it was the first Diet Mountain Dew-only line extension.

That shit was sooo good.

Yes it was. Best diet drink I've ever tasted.

I never see Vanilla coke anymore here in the UK. Could just be up north though, looked in the N Wales, G. Manchester and G. Leeds areas.

themadcowtipper

Smells faintly of rancid stilton.

it flopped in scotland, for one summer it was the biggest and best thing ever (kids riding on skateboards while drinking the stuff , kids mixing it with vodka , kids playing on rope swings with a bottle of it beside them , the shit was the best shit ever , then after that summer with news reports it was turning people orange, it was never seen on a scottish shelf , and beleve me you , i will never see it again on a scottish shelf.
I don't think I want to live in a world, where I cant mix the minture Sunny D bottles with Vodka, then Shake it. It like the combination was ment to be.

I also quite enjoyed Livewire, much more so than Code Red. Can't find them anywhere around here.
