Providence, RI was part of the test market for that and I can say I contributed like a motherfucker to them expanding it. I remember almost every scrap of change I had would go towards a can of this.

On the flip side, best food item that flopped: Pepsi Blue

I loved this stuff, drank a bottle almost everyday. It's demise was one of the great American tragedies.
The funny thing is they keep bringing the flavor back in other guises: One of the new Mountain Dew flavors from a year or so ago was exactly Blue.

it was so awsome it could turn people orange, i remember everyone drinking a ton of it to see if they would turn orange (no one i knew ever did)

Pepsi more or less cornered the market on wretched flavors. This was my dad's favorite beverage when I was a kid. And it tasted like the devil's piss.

This didn't flop at all. It's a huge seller in many areas of the country.

That sounds delicious, and I loved Coca-Cola Blak too.

Here is my contribution, as I bought a couple of these back in the day...

I won an Orbitz in a raffle during the 5th grade. Shit tasted horrible.

What the hell does the Pepsi Ice Cucumber even taste like?

I was actually lucky enough to be in Japan for a trip when they just came out with it, so I went searching stores in Shibuya to find one, and found one place that did have it.

It tastes like candy, pretty much. Like a slightly cucumber Jolly Rancher, in liquid form.

It does sort of smell/taste a little like watermellon too, surprisingly.

Doritos 3D's were so Goddamned good. Delicious.

Yes. YES!!!

I would get a bag of 3D Doritos, a coke slurpee and spend my weekend playing Ocarina of Time. Man, those are some good memories.

Found a bottle of this in England, it looked awesome, then I had a drink and it felt like swallowing flem (or worse). Never again.

Also off topic but why the hell has wild cherry pepsi never come over here, I love that shit

3D Doritos sucked. They were like an even worse version of Bugles. It was all gross flavor dust and air.

Snuggler said:
That's not saying much, Doritos are vile. The most obnoxious snack food by far.

i don't like the taste of doritos , the dorito its self is discusting, never mind when its masked with some shitty cheese powder or what ever

I can't remember if I tasted Pepsi Blue, but I LOVED Pepsi Twist.

They had Orange Coke? I bet that happened around the time I moved to Europe.

That looks awesome. What kind of nazi rapist doesn't like cheeseburgers?

Yes! It was so good.

Japan had this for a short time, it's the most messed up drink idea I've ever seen:

I will go to my grave regretting not buying any when I saw it. It was gone the next week.

There is a candy shop, "Big Top Candy Shop" on South Congress in Austin, Tx that has an old fashioned soda fountain. They make a Cucumber soda, and it is one the most damn refreshing drinks I have ever imbibed on a hot day.

Were it not for fucking Canadians this would have been a flop.

I work with an Albertan ex-pat who brings me back a bag of those when he visits his parents every year.

America is missing out. Old Dutch chips make Ketchup chips as well, but I think it is an East Coast thing.

Cocaine Energy Drink, soon to make this list...

Arch Deluxe Son..

Arch Deluxe was successful, but because of a typo they ordered 10x as much marketing as they intended to and blew their budget.. at least that's what I heard at the time.

I loved the 3Ds because they tasted like normal Doritos of old, back before they blew the flavor out by making them "Even Cheezier" 12 times in a row.

Oh god yes. I hate the flavor of Doritos nowadays, I always thought I was nuts because others around me never noticed the change in flavor. Those 3Ds were sooo good.

Last time I went to Disney, they had a cucumber cola in a "sodas from around the world" fountain in Epcot. As weird as it sounds, it actually works very well and is delicious.

Ketchup chips are the best chips, also Doritos haters havent tried Jalapeno flavour I see.

I do miss Pepsi Twist though, goddamn.

I hope you aren't saying these aren't good...because then you'd be wrong and I'm pretty sure that's bannable.

This flopped hard too (maybe it was only regional, but it was around my area for about 2 months or so and now it's gone) but I liked it

I remember seeing that around. But I just can't do Mountain Dew anymore, I liked it as a teen but it gives me gutrot now. I was really into the orange flavor, I dunno if they still do that.
I also liked this as a soda guzzling teen, also discontinued:

I felt the same way. I would only buy 3D Doritos and my parents/friends would act like I was falling into some kind of marketing scam. They really did taste way better! I don't even care for regular Doritos much.

Anyway, around the time I was inhaling 3Ds this was my soda of choice.:

I stopped drinking soda shortly after it went off the market, but only Vanilla Coke can match the awesomeness of original Sprite Remix.

They no longer sell these?! Fuck. I use to eat them all the time. :(

Yup.
Not even listed on the Flat Earth site anymore.
I blame the marketing.
I mean, it's so easy to market a savory chip, but a sweet chip?
Delicious, though.

Dude wtf. I gotta say, never stop posting kentpaul... Your news organizations were reporting that it turned people orange? Like their skin? That is some quality journalism. I don't know why but this made me laugh my ass off. I can just see the turning on the TV and breaking news report coming on of Sunny Delight turning children orange, stay far away folks.

Barbeque corn chips. Fritos used to make them but now I can't find any brand that makes them. :(

We still got Fritos barbeque chips and plenty of other knock offs over here in Michigan.

Pepsi Natural is one that I wish DIDN'T flop. Loved that stuff.
You and me both, brother. I got one four-pack and never saw it again. :( Loved it.

The ketchup-flavored chips sound like they'd be disgusting.

I don't know if these have flopped but this topic reminded me that I've wanted to try them. Individually wrapped peanut butter and jelly slices :lol
