Giffords’ husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, called Ames and Lori Mayfield on Thursday night to have a private conversation about the situation. Ames said Kelly told him to keep asking tough questions.
I mean, if an astronaut called 11 yr old mean I'd shit my pants and go apeshit. Hell, I'd probably go apeshit if an astronaut called 34 yr old me.

Why the Hell would you kick a child out of cub scouts for doing the assignment and asking a legitimate question to one of their representatives?

I guess they're not teaching kids to be upstanding citizens.

They're teaching them to be "American".

Luckily there are other places that that teach the kids how to be human that have already accepted him.

Being kicked out of the scouts for using critical thinking and supplying a great question. That's right, punish someone for doing something good, that's what we should be teaching kids... *rolls eyes*...

But seriously, being little petty bitches because an 11 year old asked a great question.

Someone stopped him because it was a tough question?

Uh... shouldn't we all be asking tough questions? WTF? They don't even try to say it's inappropriate or something. They say it's tough.

How the fuck do you justify kicking him out over asking a tough question?

These people want you to be docile and to lack critical thinking so of course they would. Critical thinking = a danger to their views/party.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
When it was Ames' turn, he asked: ”An issue that I'm concerned about is common sense gun control. I was shocked that you co-sponsored a bill to allow domestic violence offender to continue to own a gun. ... Why on Earth would you want somebody who beats their wife to have access to a gun?"

Damn. That kid is more well articulate than I would probably have been in that situation.

The Senator's first google image...

Kids opinion on this subject were already silenced with Sandy Hook.

While responding to Ames' question, Marble told the Cub Scouts, "I have a multicultural family and I'm very proud of it."

what about her best friend?

She also cant be racist because she likes fried chicken.

I mean even sitcoms dont portray republicans on this level of stupidity.

It's really awesome that Mark Kelly called that kid to encourage him. The Democratic party has been recruiting him hard to run for a US Senate seat. He's exactly the type of person that is needed in Washington. If he doesn't want to run against Jeff Flake next year I can't think of a person better suited to take McCain's seat when he retires.

Sinema's lined up for that seat, they likely are thinking of Kelly for when McCain retires.

Obviously it's fine for domestic abusers to have guns because their (hopefully) ex-wives should also have guns which they can use to protect themselves against their abusive (hopefully) ex-husbands. See, everything makes sense in a society where everyone has guns and doesn't mind using them!

The preceding message may not apply to anyone who does not look sufficiently caucasian. Also /s.

Good on this kid, we need more people who aren't afraid to ask questions that make people uncomfortable.
