This Oreimo boxset from Aniplex is pretty damned cool. I like the recent trend of companies offering shwag with the Dvd/BR again like they used to do. Especially the extra artwork and OVAs.
Also got the final Utena boxset and my fabulous Signet ring. Its a pretty hefty set with several discs and the artbook is oh so lovely.

So, best OP/ED this season?

I'm quite partial to Guilty Crown's OP. It's just... nice, haha. Ben-to's is pretty cheesy and sets the mood just right too. Anyone else?

1. Working'!!
2. Guilty Crown
3. Idolmaster
4. Penguindrum
5. Stuff I don't pay any attention to

Except all kanba talks about is
Saving himari. He hasn't given any sign he's concerned about "putting the world back on track" or even that he's in on any of that aspect of sanetoshi's plan, whatever it is. So no, he's not in a dimension/fate spanning war where he has to make difficult choices. He's just doing whatever is asked of him as long as it saves Himari, consequences be damned, Himari's wishes be damned, Shouma be damned, Masako be damned. He doesn't give a damn.

That doesn't mean that he's particularly thrilled about what
Sanetoshi is asking him to do.

It's pretty hard to not roll your eyes
in the "HIMARI DIES... AGAIN" scene; specially since her dialogue was almost word by word the exact same she said the last time she (almost) died. Kanba's acts of evil are also pretty hard to take seriously when the setting is so poorly defined and fairly empty beyond the main characters; there is no weight in killing faceless paper cutout non-people. It doesn't help that the only one that cares is Masako, who feels like a total afterthought character; as amazing as her flashback episode was, it did a fairly poor job at giving her a genuine role in the main story.

This, basically. It's hard to care about
random people that get whacked
in a show where
children
might be getting
turned into
got'damn
penguins

Favorite OP is Chihayafuru - maybe not exceptional, but very satisfying. Favorite ED is Un-Go - great song with stylish animation and design.

What the hell? Am I the only one that likes the Chihayafuru OP? I definitely think it's the best this season, others don't even come close to it.

As soon as I post this I get people talking about the OP. Anyways, Chihayafuru is the one OP I don't skip. I enjoyed the first Penguindrum OP way more than the current one.

Listening to Boku Tomo on my iPod at work (admittedly a cool perk of my job), I sometimes find myself wondering how the seiyuu feel about acting in pandering shows like this. Like do they take it in stride, find it amusingly absurd, or leave the recording booth feeling dirty or something.

Would make great interview material IMO.

It must be like that porn actress OVA, where they say it's just a job or something.

Maturity, bitches.
idolmaster 23 -Funniest thing I've seen all week. And seeing Haruka's face
crumple into an expression of SORROW is so goddamn delicious I could stare at it all day. ALL DAY.
God, it still makes me smile.

- Awesome "Ichika no ecchi."

I'm just going to start referring to everyone by their country of origin. Except for Charlotte.
Wait till they make the ineviatable S2 with America, the best girl.

Also, enjoy this song that will melt your heart: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr03yfnbLhc
I don't know what to make of the cliffhanger at the end of episode 22, but it looks like
it's time to find out who shouma really is, and how he is tied to the takakuras, Sanetoshi, the penguin force, and yes, possibly momoka and her diary. Looks like there's more to it than him simply being the takakura child. Why do Ifeel like this is going to end up with some kind of a madoka style ending where a single person/soul is hopping between times/generations stopping Sanetoshi until another party (possibly Ringo) breaks the chain forr good? :X
My prediction for the end of the series is that the
Goddess will end up also being the Princess of the Crystal, which makes sense because not only is she handing down the punishment via that Mary story, but she's the one who single-handedly set in motion all the events that lead up to their punishment as well as the suffering of all the characters on that show. She forces the other two to get punished by holding their "sister" hostage, and forces her death whenever she feels like it. Additionally, this also makes sense because the bunnies are the ones keeping Sanetoshi alive as a (kind-of) living curse and he can't do anything that would go against the goddess (like stealing the diary), and that she has a different objective from the terrorist groups and Sanetoshi for the correct path of the world.

Another theory i've seen thrown around has been that we've been watching the series be told from Shouma's point of view because when Himari choose to give all of what Kanba gave her at the end of the episode, she ended up dying at the aquarium on that day from episode 1, which is potentially implying that there is indeed a time loop, in which then the "sent-back from episode 22" Himari always dies, but because of the events that happen in episode 1 that are triggered when she goes down to Sanetoshi at the aquarium, the loop always repeats itself. Additionally, someone people think Kanba is acting the way he does because of his "Burn Scorpion Soul" of which nobody knows entirely why it's so special, but some think that it can remember all of past-lives from each failure from every time-loop.

Bjergsen is the greatest midlane in the world
No, she's still top-tier.
She's easily one of the best. Kotori already outclassed all idols though.

IM@S 23

Gainax staff bringing along a Gainax ending I see. This episode was really poorly done. Lots of strange silence in scenes, slow pace, and the point that they're trying to make is simple enough that it doesn't need so much exposition. How many times do they need to show failed group practice sessions? I am especially disappointed because episodes 20-22 were very strong episodes and I was hoping that IM@S had matured into something better. The series just can't escape these bad episodes though, and they really bog down the series as a whole.

It made no sense and that didn't feel good. Incoherent, but with pretty lights . . . not that the latter helps much in this case. Felt like a waste of time.

Spice and Wolf II - End

Satisfying ending. The economic scheming wasn't quite as thrilling as the first season
and sadly we didn't get to see Holo's wolf form
, but the excellent portrayal of the central relationship made up for it. Lawrence is more confident from the beginning this time, so the interplay between him and Holo shines even more, and they continue to grow in their trust and understanding of each other. Very curious to see where this story goes from here - good thing the novels are being translated!
