Despite ESPN's gamecast oddly displaying the final score as 100-85, I think the game's not over just yet.

Now it says the score is 6-4 Raps!

Lets have a serious discussion about the Raptors. Obviously defense is non-existent. Our options are:

A. Clear the entire team and start from scratch (Its the players fault for being bad)
B. Fire Dwayne Casey (It isnt the players that are bad, it is him)
C. Do nothing (Be terrible for 15 more years or until the world ends)

It is Andrew Wiggins or /franchise.
Lebron scenario all over again.

It's not about PF or C as much as back to the basket player vs perimeter player. Hakeem could shoot, so could Timmy, but they were more back to the basket than Dirk or Love or any of the guards.

And it's about showing that in Today's NBA, you're better off building around one of the elite perimeter players, then you are building around elite back to the basket guys. Mentioning Timmy (Best PF ever), Shaq, Hakeem and Kareem is just to show that there is no one like them anymore and that for now, that era is gone. There may come a time where 7 of the 10 best players in the league are back to the basket bigs, but for now, the majority of the best players are perimeter players or bigs that play perimeter oriented games (Love, Dirk, etc.)

That's the point I was trying to make...and plenty alpha dog superstars players have won championships relying on their jump shooting for a majority of their shot attempts.

And by the way, this isn't an accident. The Showtime Lakers only shot 100 threes a season usually. Hakeem/Kareem/Timmy used to be much better FT shooters than Dwight if I'm not mistaken. And teams shoot a lot more threes and hack a lot more low post players near the rim. The game has changed to a more perimeter oriented style.

Now don't get me wrong, the Triangle offense is my favorite offense and it's all about post ups, but the triangle works best when you have perimeter players that can make the elbow jumper and players that can make open jumpshots when the low post gets doubled.

With the rules today a prime TD
Dream and Shaq would be unstoppable

No hand checking? Dream would eat

And you are not explaining anything but working from the inside out which is stable basketball strategy that has existed for at least 80 years

The only wing that has won it with little to no low post presence is MJ and did in an era with proper bigs and handchecking

You might add the heat to that too

Also showtime Lakers shooting 100 3s is one of the most irrelevant things you said today

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
Loved these last two W's. Really enjoying watching this young team.

Also thanks Konex, you helped Lin shit on Lowry.

That's what happens when you start two euro guys. I'm not being racist either cause Kevin Love is as white as they come, but he get rebounds. Why? AMERICA!!!

Cody Zeller has a lot of nice attributes, but man, he's so slow on D. He had two nice blocks, but he had to anticipate seconds ahead of time to get up high enough to block it. Those were the only plays where he made any impact on protecting the rim, mostly was just out of position otherwise.

He probably has the smarts and work ethic to be good defensively and that matters more than athleticism on D though...

Valanciunas attacks the glass hard.

He's just 20 years old right now and has played in the NBA for three weeks, I think you should give him some slack instead of bashing his continent...

Jimmer isn't better than Thomas or Brooks.

So Petrie hates Jimmer since he put three guys on the squad that all need the same spot.

Jimmer's 23.30 PER on the season says fuck dat shit.

But seriously, he needs at least 10 minutes a game. He finally looks like he's starting to get it this season.

I'd play him over Isaiah Thomas at this point. Don't know wtf happened to him.

kings fans, why does keith smart hate the jimmer

Because Jimmer sucks?

He's like a poor poor poor man's reddick. Isaiah Thomas just needs to get the fuck out of Sac town. Then he's back to normal.

Pau is clearly the odd man out on this team. He's killing the spacing on offense (we need a PF who just camps at the 3 to give Dwight and Kobe room) and he can't guard anyone who can actually move
