If you're gonna render at such a high resolution, you don't really need FXAA. Those shots look a little messy in some parts and I think FXAA might have been the cause.

It's because of crappy blocky low res dof the game using..

Yup, that's where I'm at as well. Just a small struggle to start the game because it's as you say, a chore. Only reason why I'm going to push on is because I've paid money for this thing and want to get my money's worth - Which is sad.

First time in a long time I've banked on GAF hype and got burned, never again.

It really is considering the minuscule requirements, the game is running max settings and all that jazz and my 670 is running in idle-power mode when playing the game, I think it works at 400 mhz or something which is close to idle clocks.

Can you guys explain to me how downsampling works ?

I have an nVidia 670, and I can't for the life of me understand how you guys are doing it.

Even in these shots, it's surprising to see so much motion blur. I'm never hyper aware of it like I am with something like Hawken or Crysis or even BF3, but there is a lot in my pics (ones I don't show). I don't feel like my gameplay is hampered by it.

Such a good game. Shots have some aliasing but still want it to be playable. Surprised a F2P game looks this good--the effects are very...effective...at hiding the lower quality assets.

Oh gosh I need to play the game like this again. Playing the game on my laptop and it looks more like minecraft at 10-30fps.

A good method I picked up from dark10x in the Assassin's Creed 3 PC thread:

*THE* best way to lock to 30 fps is as follows...

Use the half refresh rate option under v-sync available in nvidia inspector. Do NOT use the FPS limiter.

THEN, and this is important, use MSI Afterburner to limit that specific EXE to 30 fps as well. This mix of settings produces a very smooth, consistent 30 fps 95% of the time.

DXTory and various other solutions (including the limiter in inspector) result in a lot of microstutter when limiting to 30.

It seems to work way better than any other method I've tried.

There aren't any live leaderboards unfortunately. The online components it supports are multiplayer through Hamachi or just regular LAN play.

And I used SweetFX set to ultra as well as rendering at 1440p.
