The idea that Rose doesn't get more assists because his teammates stand around him is hilariously ironic. Do you think Rose would get more assists on Phoenix (adjusted for pace)? If you do, lol.

The reason Rose doesn't get more assists is the same reason Steve Francis didn't average more assists than he did. And yes, people stood around and watched Francis.

Yeah, he would get more assists. To presume other wise is insane. All the players on PHX have been coached to be in the correct spot so a PG that penetrates and disrupts the offense knows exactly where his shooters will be, and can get it to them with out thinking, on pure instinct.

PHX also has a bunch of good 3pt shooters who don't hesitate to pull the trigger.

If you can't even see that difference then you're in a whole world of trouble.

As i said, Rose isn't Deron/CP3/Nash good. But the offense that is run over in Chicago is as bad or worse than the Cleveland offense run when LBJ was there. With worse offensive players around him.

It's hard to not make a relatively good post when Worst-GAF sets the bar so low.

Apparently you're pretty terrible then.

The problem with the Bulls' offense is that Thibs sucks at a real offensive system. Develop one, and Rose and his teammates will shine more.

So here's a crazy thought about how to prevent tanking. How about basing the lottery standings on the rankings at the All-Star break? If a team tries to tank to get a great lottery pick, it will be very hard for them to then make the playoffs. If a team does well the first half of the season and then does poorly the second half and misses the playoffs, that's really too bad for them. This will force the league to balance the first half of the season and not just the season as a whole, but I think it's the easiest way to prevent tanking altogether.

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard will undergo back surgery on Friday morning in Los Angeles to repair a herniated disk, effectively ending his season and eliminating him from participation in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Howard's agent said on Thursday night.

Okay, regardless of the way he looks on offense, pittman is getting at those rebounds and he's a good inside presence. I wonder why they never used him sooner.
