My mom's old employer gave her clipper tickets as a raffle prize when I was about 10. We chose to stay home that night, like going to the game wasn't even an option.

Until last season, I've been offered free Clippers tickets every season by the Clippers themselves. Multiple times a year.

You could drive up to Staples and scalp decent tickets for $5. Literally the price of metro pass for a day. I've sat courtside for $40.

This will never be a Clipper town just like it will never be an Angel town. It's just the way things are.

Knicks didn't do shit in the 80s at MSG and the attendance was awful. When the team was good, it was good. Knicks in the 00s stayed high, but the NBA in the 2000s is faaaaar more popular than it ever has been (in terms of # of people that go to games). And it also had a slight dip when they sucked.

Because tickets are expensive, so why show up to see a game vs a bottom 5 team if your team isn't anything special?

I'm sure if the Lakers offered all those tickets for $20 instead, they'd sell out. But they don't.

The only reason the Knicks had such high ticket sales is the fans deluded themselves into thinking they're contending every season. If they were realistic...

NY is huge in terms of population. I don't count going to a game at the Garden as the definition of the fairweatherness of a fan. Those fans were chanting MVP for Kobe and Bron...i Don't think I've EVER heard the Lakers crowd at Staples chant MVP for another player in the last 20 years I've been watching this team.

The Knicks have been trash for years but basketball is nyc's sport. There are as many basketball fans in the city as Knicks fans so the Garden will always sell out.

same. davis has been on a decline so we need him to step up. few games ago, i think he made a few triples so thats promising. he just needs more minutes, preferably all of bibbys

I literally can't remember the last time he made a 3. It boggles my mind, he's a rotting corpse that weighs more than his carcass should.
