2012 NBA Finals |OT| Good Job, Good Effort

The Durant fouls aren't weird to me- he's actually fouling. He's also playing Lebron whose playing extremely aggressively.

Yeah, I saw 2 or 3 fouls that actually were fouls. But the whole NBA is a bunch of bullshit. People who are 'defensive specialists' just do a better job of not going over the 'foul' threshold. I remember watching Bruce Bowen and thinking he just does a lot of little small fouls.

'If I bump you just a little and prevent you from fully elevating and not get called for it...I'm completely great'

Durant has gotten into foul trouble because OKC's terrible transition D continues to leave him on an island trying to stop LeBron on fast breaks

One problem Durant has is he can't physically defend LeBron so he can't get away with those little bumps and stuff. (Which LeBron can on the other end.)

If you look at scottie's defensive reels you see he got away with alot of contact to.

I've given Miami a lot of credit, but it's undeniable that OKC has been the victim of some weird flukes in the first three games.

- Battier shooting over 73% from 3
- KD getting 5 fouls called on him 2 games in a row, after it only happening 3 times in the regular season
- Miami shooting far above their season average at the FT line for 2 games
- OKC shooting far below their season average at the FT line for 2 games
- Miami winning in spite of shooting an atrocious percentage from range in game 3

Miami's D has been OK, but I'd mainly say that they've dragged us down into a fuckball style of play and Brooks has utterly failed to put an effective lineup on the floor in games 2 or 3. Watching that horrible 4th quarter last night, it wasn't like, "Wow, Miami's defense is killing it!" It was more like watching two wounded dogs without teeth gnaw each other to death. Just kinda sad.

1. Battier for the most part is making WIDE open 3s with hardly any contest.. Its the shots he is supposed to make. The shots he was hired to make. If they were contested its another thing, but he is wide open.
2. Thats his own damn fault for making some really stupid decisions. Not to mention that he is guarding lebron who is just non stop attacking the basket.
3. Miami has been shooting lights out for their standards for the last 3 games. But they were due, they were HORRIBLE the last 3 series. it was about freaking time.
4. What am I supposed to make of this? They might be choking at the line then?
5. Because they pounded the ball to the paint non stop..

Miami's d simply hasn't been OK.. Its been excellent. Have you seen how we have forced OKC to try and make some ridiculous passes to get a decent shot off?

Bayless really does play the white rage angle up whenever the producers pair him up with SAS or another, usually minority, reporter.

At this point Brooks should put Durant on chalmers or Battier. KD having 4-5 fouls in the 3rd is going to let this series be over in 5. I'm also not understanding why Collison isn't getting some of Perks minutes and why Ibaka, Westbrook, and Durant were all out of the game at the same time heading into the 4th.

All the Thunder need to do is get 1 game...but based on last nights coaching decisions and other factors iono...

That's what a team is supposed to do though. Bring the other team down to their style of play . Miami has done a pretty good job in that end. Their 3pt close out defense is still shit though

Bron's defense on KD in the 4th looked average at best. Bosh's D in the paint plus the fact that he wasn't getting called for shit had a lot more to do with Durant's poor shooting in the 4th.

Please, please, please tell me no one is pointing to the 35-24 FTA disparity as proof of one-sided officiating. For God's sakes, 6 of those 35 attempts came on two atrocious closeouts on three-point shooters... and another 2 to 4 (depending on wtf Harden was doing) came on intentional fouls at the end.

Is he not just the biggest troll or what?

Difference in officiating: Lebron and Wade scream every time they take a shot and the refs reward them with free throws even when there wasn't contact. And Lebron "doesn't foul" , as he said so himself which means its true.

I'm not gonna harp on the refs, but you're saying that all of KD's fouls have been legit, which is simply not true.

The thing that blows my mind is that he's not getting the kind of deference that superstars are supposed to get in the Finals. LeBron fouls KD multiple times on the final shot in game 2, and he doesn't get called for anything--meanwhile, KD is getting called for ticky-tack shit, especially the jab-step and screen foul last night.

Again, we're not even having this conversation if OKC simply knocks down the FTs they had--but there's no doubt that the turning point of the game was KD's fourth foul. It completely took the momentum away from the Thunder.

Thunder can't rely on getting calls trying to shoot jump shots or attacking one on one to win the series. They are going to have to play "team" basketball to get as many easy baskets as possible. Like they played against San Antonio but better because Miami is a much better defensive team and is doing a good job of disrupting passes. Hitting free throws would also help.

It is pretty apparent that nerves are a problem.

LeBron, DWade, and Bosh have been there before so Westbrook, KD, Harden are going to have to earn it.

zbo to the lakers would be the greatest thing since

"We got Zach Randolph, so now we have a beast down low that we can throw the ball to. He brings finesse. He brings a jumper. He brings everything. He can play 94 feet and can go from end line to end line and do whatever he wants to do. You can't teach that.

"It’s unbelievable! You already know what it is. I don't have to tell you. Eddy Curry on one side and a left-handed southpaw on the other side. You’re thinking he's shooting right, but he's really shooting left, and you can't beat that. I expect we play better than what we played last year. It's a power move.

"We got a younger player in Zach Randolph. He will follow suit by the leaders put forth in front of him. He will follow suit. Eddy and I are the leaders of the team. This is Eddy Curry's team, not Steph's team. This is Eddy Curry's team, and we all have to understand that. Jim Brown once said to me, 'Stephon, Kobe's got Shaquille O'Neal on his team. All you have to do is throw him the ball and he will tear the rim down for you every time. Why do you have to get mad at him? All you're gonna do is win championships if you really want it.'"

Lol. You act like Kobe isn't gonna screw any chance of this working out.

You act like Kobe has much say these days. This is the age of Jimmy.

Speaking of, I finally got around to watching Robin Hood (Russel Crowe) this weekend... and all I could think of when that incompetent sonofabitch King John was on screen, was how much he reminded me of Jim Buss.

Blackace, you wrong. you so wrong.
