Anyone who's accusing the Lakers of the FT discrepancy is stupid. Kobe is #4 on the FTA list and is 150 behind Harden and Durant and just ahead of Westbrook. Basically it's in line with all the other top scorers in the league and nothing strange considering his usage rate.
#3 on the list is Dwight Howard. Anyone with a brain knows why he's up there and his 600+ FTA is more than the Lakers' total FTA advantage for the season.

Who on the lakers commit fouls in their career? Pau has always been a low rate fouler for a big man, well before he came to Los Angeles. He's rarely been in foul trouble.
Kobe and Ron are also low rate foulers. Dwight commits offensive fouls and rebounding on his own end but not many defensive fouls even in Orlando. Jamison is a revolving door mostly, not a shot challenger.
Plus, as been pointed out the lakers don't really force turnovers to begin with. They give up open looks.
The mavs lost this game on the boards. 57-37.

If Utah wins tomorrow, the Lakers don't make the playoffs.
I can only realistically see Utah losing against GSW, Memphis, OKC, and Denver. Maybe one loss to Minnesota.
Utah needs to lose at least three games over the next 7 for the Lakers to have a shot.
The Lakers can beat NOH, the Clippers, GSW, Portland, and Houston. They NEED to go 5-2 to have a shot, because Utah's not losing more than three of their next seven.

So the Lakers are better without Steve Nash discussion's started? Cause I want in. I think the Lakers should try try to play like the 2012 playoff Lakers, with a better bench. Jamison and Nash coming off bench isn't bad, instead of having him combat with Kobe as facilitator he could give him rest. Kobe seems up for the challenge anyway and it leaves more breathing room for Howard and Gasol on offense. Not to mention Nash's defensive liabilities, age/stamina concerns, and general health.

Saw a lot of it online today.
Even though I was pissed at Shaq when he left the 00-02 Lakers were my favorite team of all time. So many awesome memories. My favorite is still probably the alley opp from Kobe to Shaq in game 7 against Portland to cap off the epic comeback. I wonder if I will ever get that excited about a game ever again.
