Is worms ultimate mayhem better than worms revolution

Its much different. WUM is fully 3D and Revolution is still 2D. I have not played revolution, or a 2D worms game in ages (blasphemy, I know). But I just really really love Worms in 3D. WUM is the Worms 3D game that came out a while ago, plus Worms 4 Mayhem, that came out a bit more recently, plus some other junk.

WUM is the only real physically multiplayer game I can play with my friends on my PC (pass the controller), and it gets hilariously intense. Like I said, personally, I fucking love the game. But I am no worms purist.

Nice shots.

Is this the freecam hack thing? Are you only allowed to move centric to Faith's model?

Thank you.
Yes its noclip mode and you can fly around wherever you want.

Just have to add this to the "TDInput" file found in the \Documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config\" directory:
Bindings=(Name="F4",Command="FreeFlightCamera",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)

Awesome, thank you! I guess a few more shots are in order...

What's the performance of Spec Ops in general like? Fairly well optimised port?

I was quite surprised with how well Ridge Racer Unbounded was using all the GPU resources... it really only ground to a halt when I flicked SMAA onto Ultra and one of the GPU cores hit 100%. Maybe I was naturally expecting less, given how shit we've been treated by similar titles like NFSHP and MW.

I would say it's pretty well optimized. It's just the lack of AA which forces you to take radical measures with SGSSAA, or downsampling, which leads to worse performance, but mid-range rig should ace through it no problem.

Sorry to be asking so many questions, but I have many of them.

I've been trying to figure out why source engine games seem to break when applying any antialiasing along with downsampling at a lowered refresh rate. Injecting SMAA works, but not the in game antialiasing, msaa or csaa. Is this a thing??

As a suggestion born of this problem, and I hope this isn't something very basic and thus silly to say, but going to a games properties > launch options in steam and adding " -width [your native width], -height [your native height]" can save a lot of headaches. Personally, i got stuck a few times with un-startable games thanks to issues with the res, and even deleting the res from nvidia CP didn't make them start. This is very handy, at least for me.

It's UE3, runs fine.

No SGSSAA, ATI :/ But some downsampling and SMAA should do the trick. As long as the textures aren't so massive as to completely blow out VRAM.

It's UE3, runs fine.
Sweet, good to know!

For FC3, does the built in MSAA not work? I started playing today and no matter how I set MSAA there was no change in performance and it didn't help the aliasing at all.

Is there a known bug I'm unaware of?

I seem to recall experiencing a weird situation where the game would launch with the dx11 options, but dx9 render, and msaa would not work. Other than that, I dunno.

Is there any way to have 'placeholders' made for the images when the page is loaded first? It is the most annoying thing when I want to continue viewing pictures from the middle of the page and the ones above are still loading, constantly pushing the page down. I don't know if it should be a forum or browser setting, but somebody help me out please before I go crazy. :-/

probably not, just leave it for a minute after opening the page. when you come back everything should be loaded.

Yep. I always just open it in a new tab and continue browsing for a minute or so then get back to it.
