Just remember one golden rule with SweetFX: Luma Sharpen is the devil and makes everything look worse, no matter how low you set it. Off is the only option.

...unless you are the kind of person who has his own preferences and likes to form his own opinion instead of accepting statements like this as facts.

Can't get 4K :/

SweetFX color grading is fun. Tedious, unless there's a way to edit parameters without restarting the game all the time. But I like changing the colors.

Anyway, LOL:

You'd probably like to know that you just have to alt-tab back into the game to see the colors changed. Every time you alt-tab or press the reload key (which I think is Pause by default) SweetFX reloads, including any changes you make to the inis.

Run the game windowed. Use SweetFX configurator.

Then just tweak settings, go back to the game and reload the injector (pause button I believe) and switch back and edit some more. That program makes it really convenient.

Thanks guys! I do use the injector configurator thing, but did not realize you could reload with pause (pause break right?). Beware... I will probably be on a crazy stint of trying to perfect games' colors now :P.

So... anyone?

I guess doesn't really hurt when just post one

Go for it, why not. Looks cool :)

Here's a question for you more mathematically inclined people ( Timothy Lottes I'm calling thee, hear my cries ) at which point does downsampling become indiscernible on a 1080p monitor with a certain dot pitch? I'm sure you all have a formula inside your heads.

Damn, DS3 is looking gorgeous in this thread. IQ is through the roof. Wish I could play it on PC right now but Xbox is where my co-op bud is.

Allow me to break up all this monotonous Dead Space 3 stuff with something completely different. Dead Space 2.

The police chases in this game are some of the worst shit I've ever played. They're worse than Most Wanted's, and I thought that would be impossible.

That second one in particular is incredible. I tried getting SweetFX to work (for the first time ever mind you) but had no success.

Also those Skyrim shots are running at like <10fps right?... Right?

Yea I'm only getting 10-15fps with the grass mods running : ( I have an old dual core e8400 so I bet someone with a decent rig could get it to at least 30 fps tho.

Yeah go for it man, just try and make sure it's something worth looking at.

Also, quick question, lets say I'm downsampling and using an SMAA injector, it applies the injection to the full res image before it is downsampled to fit my screen, yes? Or is the SMAA applied to the downsampled image?

I wasn't planning on going to sleep or anything...

You are my savior.

Also, not to go on a tangent (Am I using that term correctly?), but that 3dmark 03 space marine (c) scene made me yearn for a new game style. Imagine that scene, but instead of being pulled in one direction, you are in an open-world spaceship, where you can follow those dudes and evac, or you can try to fight off the invaders, all man-mode style, or you can head for the CQC and then you're presented with even more freedoms, such as setting the ship on a collision coarse for the enemy, escaping, fighting ships, or re-routing power to other systems, such as air recyclers, shields, etc. each decision would have much different outcomes and lead to more situations. The battle would have to be very well scripted and the AI even more-so in order to compensate for the decisions you make. meh, It's late...

Psyco Edit:::

Also, that'd be amazing to see them go back and recreate a few of those demo's with the currently available technology (somewhat like with Dawn for Nvidia).

so i tried sweetfx for the first time in sleeping dogs using a config someone posted earlier, Im using the angled split 50/50 effect to see the difference... why does it look like shit?

When I disable sweetfx with teh hotkey left side (dark as fuck) goes away, does that mean its the sweetfx side? what do?

I am having trouble deciphering that sentence :P

Thanks for your timely reply, I'll rephrase it:

When I disable sweetfx with the hotkey, the left side (dark as fuck side) goes away, does that mean its the sweetfx side or the default side? what do?

Oh I think I get it now, sorry I am still waking up. Do you mean how do you know which is which? If so I think scroll lock is another key for that, if scroll lock is on sweetfx is off.

Also I think I am using the same profile as you and mine isn't as dark as that. Here is an example of what mine looks like at night:
