2013 High-Res PC Screenshot Thread of Let the JPEG Die Already

maybe i missed it, but what the process behind making these?

http://www.tested.com/tech/gaming/386-how-to-take-awesome-panoramic-game-screenshots/

I take anywhere from 6-12 screenshots of a given area. It's important to keep the mouse on the same horizontal plane. I'll then go into photoshop. File -> automate -> photomerge. Select all the screenshots I want. Then choose cylindrical (usually works best). Photoshop generates a panorama. I crop it to the area I wanted and there you go :)

Which is basically this.

Tested is a dope site.

Here's a screenshot with a slightly ridiculous outfit

Couple Skyrim screens and a question!

Has there ever been a discussion on GAF about the best method for downsampling screenshots? I've been using FastStone Image Viewer for a while (it's free), and resampling my 3840x2160 images with a lanczos2 filter. I see a lot of people also just use Photoshop bicubic sharper.
I'm late to reply here, but I wanted to say these shots are amazing, downsampled or otherwise. It makes me want to get back into Skyrim. I really like the world, even though I know after 40 or 80 hours it might get tiring.

The Skyrim shots are killing me! Finally built my new PC and I'm dying to get it, but I'm trying to catch it on sale. Awesome shots, though.

@NeoEnigma

Great War Thunder shots --- I just downloaded it and was pleasantly surprised with how fun it is, and better yet, how great it looks and runs.

LUT texture is an in-game PostFX option. It stands for "Lookup texture" aka color correction texture. Just changes the color scheme of the game.

The 2012 thread was great, but this 2013 thread is on a completely different level. On top of the Bullshot thread this is a crazy year for screenshots.

When next-gen PC ports start coming out these two threads will literally melt my eyeballs out of my sockets. Some Raiders of the Lost Ark shit.

Do you have any of your own tweaks on top of that ENB, and are you using any supplemental visual mods?
I was using about ~150 mods when playing Skyrim.

Mostly textures + K ENB + SweetFX (which K ENB ships with). I primarily used his .132 version. Downsampling makes a big difference as well.

neoenigma ! Amazing Skyrim shots.

Is the game playable with all those mods ? ( framerate-wise )

Yes. Well, even with 2 680s in SLI, performance can dip. The biggest FPS hit comes from ENB's SSAO. I had a utility that I used to toggle DoF and SSAO on and off when my frame rate went low. DoF is actually kinda annoying to have on anyways while playing, as the focus depends on what you're looking at. So a lot of focus shifts can happen during hectic moments. So best to leave that off most of the time. It's also an FPS killer.

With SSAO and DoF off, I can get 60 FPS outdoors. When those on, it can go as low as 30.

4K is a beastly downsampling resolution though. Would still probably look great at 1440p.
