I'm not necessarily dissaponted by the graphics in screenshots (though the textures could be alot better). But somehow the game retains the codemasters 'hollowness'. It bugs the crap out of me. Otherwise it has a great balance between arcade and sim (very arcade though).

Uh, oh. Pid might be a game I might have to check out that I've never heard about before.

I love randomly finding new (to me) games in the High-Res PC Screenshot thread.

Don't tell me you actually bought this, Sethos

how is it really?

I'm a sucker for a lot of Codemasters racing games. Dirt 2 was world-class.

As for GRID 2 it's quite good, handling is so much fun and a lot tight than GRID 1, a game I didn't enjoy so much. Graphically it's classic Ego engine, runs smooth and looks good and overall an excellent game. Still has some issues in form of sluggish menu browsing, annoying commentator-dude and the whole "progression" aspect of starting low, getting fans etc. is extremely shallow.

Rising Storm looking good. I didn't put much time into RO2, but this looks like a good time to jump back in - enjoyed the relatively short time I put into it.

The most amazing thing about Metro:LL is that the lighting looks really nice in places eventhough it uses a lighting engine held back by console ports.
I eagerly await purebred nextgen titles. Imagine Metro with a PSXBone only lighting, no more PS360 constraints.

It's the only part that looks good.

Character creation. The premade players look from okay to great. Custom character creation on anyone who isn't bald looks like ASS.

Guy to the left is a MONSTER

The perspective of this shot is hilarious.

Me and my friend made custom characters with max stats. The guy in the middle is 5'3", the guy on the left is 7'11". It looks HILARIOUS to see the 5'3" dude dunking on Frankenstein on the left.

This game's beauty is frustratingly linked to its motion blur. Frustrating considering the replay mode doesn't use it at all in the cinematic view. Blargh.

I actually tried to set up a bullshot for sims 3 and it turned out pretty bad so I never posted it.

Are you using custom textures on this and what on earth is going on with that window?

No custom textures. The window has snow on it, the weird looking geometrical stuff is because it was set on Walls Cutaway.

Having a flexible camera in this game is.... interesting. Not exactly amazing screenshots. The game is capped to 2560x1440 and up close, it's not exactly a looker :P But I suspect there might be some environments later on that could be pretty. Who knows.

Also, there's no sky. Shocking, I know.
