Subtle ENB shadows are subtle -_-

I tried that postprocess bind alo81 mentioned but it didn't seem to have any effect that I could see. Although I was more trying to get rid of the blur and that was pretty much a non-issue after using playersonly.

That postprocess command does 2 things:

1. Nothing
2. Nope. Just the 1 thing.

Couple more from last night...

Hopefully I can finish working on the script tonight

This is quite a problem with Skyrim, and PCars. Stars do not bokehs make!! They are far too dim. In skyrim, its the enb, and I get it, but in Pcars its just that its a lazy gaussian blur.

I'm curious if there is a game with very visible stars, and bokeh DOF, where the stars don't become bokehs.
^ Or moreover, a game with a quality bokeh DOF filter that incorporates light emission rather than just applying a 2d filter. C3 always seemed nice.. but I think its just cause there are so many glowing particles floating around.

Otherwise nifty shots :P

???
Stars will definitely bokeh. I was taking pics of the Milky Way while on vacation this last week and had a couple out of focus shots by mistake where the stars bokehed like crazy:

You guys certain? If it's not Show Postprocess then you should try "Toggle Scene".

I know that I got it from here. I'm 100% sure that there was a command that disabled post processing because I would use it during the upside down segments and it would flip the view right side up. Along with that, I remember thinking how completely different the first area looked.

Also, if you just bind "Show" to a command I know that did SOMETHING because I've got screenshots of some of the view modes.

I guess if you're really hurting to find the option to disable post processing just look through that link I provided. I'm certain SOMETHING in there did it and it was probably Toggle Scene if Show Postprocess wasn't it.

The post processing doesn't bother me too much. There are just some areas that don't screenshot well.

What really bugs me is that my first introduction to "the real world" was entirely in a cut scene. Ugh. I hate cut scenes. Let me explore this shit!

Very nice. I will stand mostly corrected. If stars are exposed in a photo, they will bokeh!

However it usually not so likely that most exposures/locations will expose there stars. A lot of times you need a long exposure, but in your pic it looks like just really high ISO (or no wind?) and very bright stars.

So, skyrim would likely have quite bright stars, due to no overpowering city lights. But in pcars this is less likely, and in both the idea that everything is simply being exposed like that is a little off kilter with how we often see night exposures.

It was quite silly to state things as if stars would not bokeh. Thank you sir.

I love the character models for your advisors/generals on the airship in this, they really look great. Surprisingly so given how iffy the models in Divinity 2 were.

When in doubt, blame Gamebryo :p

I'm a big Driver fan so I finally gave this game a go. Going from sub-30fps on the Playstation to 60fps on the PC is a HUGE difference. Graphics are also quite nice for a 2006 game. I like the lighting and attempts of simulating environment reflection on the cars. Unfortunately, the pre-rendered cinematics are SD so they look pixelated on higher res monitors.

So.... this is kinda fun. Alright, in Devil May Cry, PlayersOnly freezes everything. Even the player. However, if you attempt to modify your coordinates while frozen, ONLY the camera moves. So you have free camera :)

Problem is, when you exit PlayersOnly, the player coordinates update... teleporting to wherever you moved teh camera.

You can move the camera back to where the player is while in PlayersOnly to prevent that... or I can learn how to code it in the script so it automatically snaps back to the player position.

That last part takes learning. Reckon I ought'a get to it.

:P

EDIT: Nevermind, it does not do that.

That is all UE3 commands. Basically setting bindings for people who dont know how to set UE3 bindings.

What I'm doing is taking PlayersOnly a step further and allowing you to MOVE the camera as well as rotate it. That way you can freely move the camera away from Dante and look at whatever you want (rather than Dante always being in the center of the screen). Not all that hard in Cheat Engine, really.

EDIT: Woo. I've solved all my problems. I've set it up so that Cheat Engine stores my coordinates when I active PlayersOnly. Then I move the camera around how I want, screenshot, blah blah... and Cheat Engine restores my coordinates when I disable PlayersOnly. This prevents Dante from teleporting to wherever the camera is after disabling PlayersOnly, which could have disastrous results depending on where you positioned the camera.

A compendium post will be made at some point.

I'm sure everyone's already seen these a million times, but I didn't want to let my week trial go to waste/didn't feel like actually playing...

Would be interesting being able to change the DOF on the fly. Normally I don't like DOF when playing but I can see the draw this has when taking screenshots. Anyway, some shots where I took advantage of it.
