But the surgery is done as a last resort and its not an easy procedure at all and didnt have the success rate that it has now. Which is still low.
So a lot of times the surgery actually shortened careers for some athletes.

He's been nursing that knee injury for a while now. The spill in Cleveland was the straw that broke the camel's back. He's day to day but when it comes The Knicks and their injury reports, he can be out for like a month. lol
