Don't overreact.

There's a difference between not wanting to take a paycut and accepting a paycut. Kobe indicated willingness to accept.

That said, it would be amazing if he took the min for 1 year then accept the max for 2 after.

Kobe averaged 27 6 5 on 46% shooting. Those are mvp type of numbers and that was last season. Kobe's decline has been greatly exaggerated and if he comes back from his achilles injury at even 75% of his former self then he will still be a top 10 player in the league.
