lol this is getting a little out of hand. Yea my friend smokes weed a lot, pretty much a daily thing for him. He's trying to get a decent job and they're doing a drug test so he asked for me my urine.

It's always hilarious to me that giving up weed is completely out of the question for these kind of people.

You're not doing your friend any favors, imo.

Well if he's up for a piss test right now, there's nothing quitting will do for him anytime soon. Who knows if the guy will quit if he gets the job.

Weed is fucking expensive if you're smoking everyday. Furthermore, smoking weed everyday is like drinking everyday, get your shit together.

You ever lived in CO? Shit is dirt cheap for med-grade. Living there as a military guy is like torture. Also, those two things are very different.

There's nothing wrong with drinking and/or smoking everyday (Unless you're binging constantly). It's a lifestyle choice. As long as people have their shit together and don't let that stuff affect their daily lives or mine, I don't care what they do personally at home.

I'm in CA, dispensaries are everywhere and it's real cheap.

I know alcohol and weed are different, but few folks can stay high all day as adults. I know guys who spend near 2 grand a month, it's an extreme example but if you're spending several hundred a month on any habit you should take inventory on your life, especially if you're begging friends for their piss.

Edit: Phee phee Pretty sure drinking everyday is beyond the technical barrier for alcoholism. I'm not gonna gather signatures to limit everyone but if I knew anyone drinking everyday I'd talk to them about it. Drinking alcohol everyday sounds like torture to me.

Ehhh I know people who have a glass of wine before they sleep every night. I would say that person loves alcohol but I wouldn't say that's a big enough issue that would require me to tell them I think there's something wrong with them.

Go to work from 9-5, come home and eat dinner, have a glass of wine/bowl or hit of weed before bed?

That's not going to affect them the next day.

Again some people are affected differently by substances. Like Moris said there are some, but very few people who can function all day stoned. You can't even tell. But what affects you might not be the same for someone else.

I think the barrier was 5 drinks or more a week. It was not a problem per se but it was the threshold for those with a problem or in danger of developing a problem.

basically if your dad has a glass of wine with dinner you probably needn't concern yourself but if a glass becomes 2 etc or they can't entertain the idea of not having the wine then they may be on a slippery slope.

Most people don't go from none to needing an intervention in a week it's usually a slow process.

Yeah that's probably the normal, average person.

But like I said as long as someone's not going to work saying "Gee I'm tired" constantly or having it affect their productivity or personal life, you do whatever you want.

Anything over 500 in a month is kind of ridiculous to me for an adult, unless you're loaded or something and don't have to worry about it interfering with your income.

there's a big difference between smoking a joint after a day of work or smoking 5 joints a day.

Same thing with having a beer or two at night or being drunk all the time.
Here in Italy wine is literally cheaper than water, I have it almost every dinner. I can't name one way its affected me other than going to sleep earlier. Sometimes I'll spice it up with a vodka drink but still, moderation is king.

How long have you been in Italy? I know you're in the military but I was wondering how often you move

And yeah it's crazy how over in Europe/Asia, water can be crazy crazy expensive. In China there are several places that don't charge you for soft drinks but charge for water.

I got here May 30 of last year, first tour in Europe and man it's just a different world over here. The traveling is amazing though, I'd recommend anybody to at least come visit this place once, or Europe in general.

But for the most part, I move permanent stations every 3 or so years, with deployments and tdys in between. I'll be deploying to the UAE in a couple months so visiting Dubai and Abu Dhabi should be interesting.

That's pretty cool. I wish I had the right amount of dough to do international travel but that'll come to me eventually.

I've only been between Asia and America and it really is like changing worlds when you travel internationally. It kinda blows my mind actually.

Water was mostly free in the places in Europe I've been. Hell, in italy it just available right out of the fountains and 10 times better than most places in the US.

I don't know where you guys live but I basically got high for 3 weeks straight for $80. (hey, it was a dark period. I'm over it now. ) Not expensive at all compared to booze.

Things like substance abuse are so individual. I have a friend who smokes up every night and he's a vice president at a $4 trillion mutual fund company. Same with another friend who manages a casino, and another who's in technical sales for a giant telecom. Me, I can't handle that and don't get shit done if I smoke like that.

5 drinks a week for alcoholism is absurd. That would barely get me buzzed, and I go out drinking like twice a month, and only drink socially. That's not indicative of anything.

Sometimes it doesn't leave your body fast enough. Shit stays in you for a good month or so.

I use it as a sleep aid and I vaporize. A $150 purchase lasts a year.

I am pretty sure if you Vape every day that you are going to spend more than 150 bucks a year on weed?

I made my current buy back in January and I'm about halfway through it. It helps that all substances hit me harder than normal. I'm not saying I'm going Bob Marley every night but I'm getting high enough to sleep.

Yeah I guess that can work then

The most I've ever consumed was probably 1/8, and that's because I split all of that into one big blunt (2.5g) and two joints (.5 each) and had those 3 within the span of like 4 days. This is cause I was moving out of NYC and needed to do it all quickly

I shared that blunt with two others and don't think I have ever or will feel that 'way' again

I used to hang out with this rich ass guy from Singapore who dropped $300 on weed every week. Every. Week. Designer strains and all that shit. I watched him roll 20 spliffs and we went through half of them in one night before I left.

Highest I've ever been would probably be at my other friend's house in Harlem. Tincture, vaporizer, bong hits, a blunt. We did all that in one night. I barely made it home.

But for sleep aid purposes this is what I use (it's okay to link this right?) You'd be surprised at the thick clouds you get from just a little sprinkle of herb.

Yeah I have a friend that used to drop that amount too. That's about an ounce, I'm guessing. All he did was play poker and invest...but he made plenty of money.

I have a MFLB myself, that stuff saves!

Also I hope this isn't too off-topic or out of bounds as well, don't want to get myself outed

The MLFB saved my ass when I was traveling Europe and the different voltages over there made plug in vapes useless. I think mine is dead now though, I need new batteries.

Amsterdam tho. Oh man. Heaven on earth.

At-risk alcohol use, or problem drinking, is defined as more than seven drinks per week or more than three drinks per occasion for women; and more than 14 drinks per week or more than four drinks per occasion for men. Heavy drinking is often defined as more than three to four drinks per day for women and more than five to six drinks per day for men.

What I found.

They have an interesting idea of alcohol abuse. Then I guess in NZ we have a particularly bad binge drinking culture. I'll go weeks with nothing then drink 14+ standards in one night.

In nba news it would be great if okc pick up some shooters like miller. Also does anyone know how Cedric Jackson has been doing for the heat summer league? He just finished a stint in the breakers in the nbl.
