Blindspot looks pretty cool though shows with hooks like this one can often just go off the rails. Didn't know it was by someone from LA Complex. I liked that show so that is a plus.

I thought People are Talking's trailer was pretty funny and I like Zack Morris, so I'll probably check that out.

Heartbreaker just isn't for me. I wish I getting more Hunted instead!

The Player might be a perfectly fine action show, but it doesn't appeal to me much either based on the trailer/info.

If Jackie Chan and Tucker are involved in Rush Hour I am in!

No!

Just saw some the trailers for the NBC shows. The Player is.....weird. I still don't get the concept. It seems too tricky by half, but I'll give it a shot.

It's weirdly poorly explained? I never read it, but from what I gather: rich people bet if Strike Back dude can solve a crime. That seems like a pretty simple concept that didn't need the "I'm the house, she's the dealer, YOU ARE THE PLAYER THERE ARE THREE" schpiel. Maybe it comes off better in episode.

It feels like the concept for a $50 million Jason Satham movie.

Same problem as their official player, region-limited. Luckily, other channels uploaded it too. The Blindspot trailer is quite interesting, it looks like either the plot to a great movie or a shoddy procedural. Hopefully, more of the first than the latter.

Ah, good news then.
You got a link to the other playlist?

That makes a little bit more "sense". I don't know how they'll do it effectively if the only way people would continue to bet against him(which you need people to do) would be for him to fail a decent amount.

Odd, we'll see how that actual show is.

Right, yeah, but that feels like the idea. Also, I love things set in Vegas just because I think it lends itself to really interesting key art and opening credits. Cheesy, right? But it's a fun motif to play with.

Man...they sure know what to promote for Blindspot.
1) why didn't they tattoo her face too?

2) how can the good guys be sure the FBI agent is the guy tattooed on her back? Must be tons of dudes with the same name.

3) it seems like the tats will be a makeup or continuity nightmare, production-wise.

4) John Doe was horrible as far as execution went, and then it turned out they really had no idea what their underlying mysteries were and they were making it up as they went along. (I bring up JD because it was a very similar premise, except the part about needing a hot girl to disrobe regularly.)

5) actually, you'd think the people in charge of this case would have high-res photos of all the tattoos, so there shouldn't be any legit reason for her to get naked after the pilot.

#5 fixes your #3 problem.

Imagine: Supergirl, the Arrow, Black Canary, The Flash, Atom, Hawkgirl, Rip Hunter, Head Wave, Captain Cold against this huge enemy, and then Laura walks up.

“You guys might be superheroes, but I’m the best type of superhero there is: A Mom.”

CBS's real headscratcher is what to do with CSI. Wrap up movie? 6 episodes? 13? Can Grissom come back for a movie? Or 6 episodes? Or 13?

With CSI fatigue, how much hype could be mustered for a 6/12 episode send off season?

I am imagining they need to bring Grissom back to get higher ratings? Is the movie route the best option?

i swear, television is so fucked up it's not even funny...

fucking cunt television

There are over 100 episodes of Hawaii Five-0. No way you slice it, that's a fantastic run.

I would watch a movie, only if Grissom ended up with Lady Heather.

Man I hope CSI gets a good send off. It was one of the first after nine o clock programs my parents ever let me watch and I've stuck with it ever since. It's the most by the numbers show ever but I'll still be sad to see it go.

Blindspot: I like the two leads, but I'm still not sold on the premise. It seems to be yet another of those procedural-with-a-check-off list-of-criminals/mysteries type things in the vein of The Blacklist and Arrow.

Heartbreaker: This looks terrible - been there done that set up, janky performance from Melissa George, trite writing. Next.

The Player: High octane procedural with a solid cast. Philip Winchester looks like he's being better utilized in this than Sullivan Stapleton is in Blindspot, so there's that. Eh, could be fun.

People Are Talking: I'm not into multi-cams, but this looks like it could be solid. I laughed at the running porn joke.

Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris: Not much to say about, heh. It's a NPH variety show. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Blindspot is a show that could very easily fall apart, but Martin Gero is a good writer (yay The LA Complex), so I'm more intrigued than I would be if it were from Joe Schmoe Writer.

There's some potentially cool feminist motions there, too.

OMG Martin Gero? LA Complex was one of the most under-appreciated, progressive and original TV shows in *years*. This is by far the most interesting thing I've heard about the show. That dude can make an amazing series.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what they do with it each week. I can't imagine it'll be anywhere near pilot level outside of the finale.

THR reporting this will be the final season of Idol.

No surprised.

Imagine: Supergirl, the Arrow, Black Canary, The Flash, Atom, Hawkgirl, Rip Hunter, Head Wave, Captain Cold against this huge enemy, and then Laura walks up.

http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/las...n-odyssey-tv-shows-still-in-limbo-1201491874/

ABC’s “Last Man Standing”: Tim Allen’s family sitcom is holding out hope for a fifth-season renewal, but sources say the network and the studio (20th Century Fox TV) are still haggling over money issues.

CBS’ “CSI”: The long-running CBS procedural could get a short-order and a two-hour movie sendoff to wrap-up its final 16th season.

NBC’s “American Odyssey” and “A.D. The Bible Continues”: In announcing its fall schedule this morning, the Peacock said, “The decision on the future (of both shows) will come at a later date after their respective seasons have ended.” “American Odyssey” has suffered declining ratings, falling below a 1.0 in the key 18-49 demo. Its run is scheduled through the end of June. “A.D.’s” ratings, meanwhile, have hovered just above a 1.0, with its finale slated for June 21.

CBS’ “Stalker”: Kevin Williamson’s serial killer drama is expected to get the formal ax on Monday, which had decent ratings despite getting pummeled by critics.

I don't really know why they're waiting on American Odyssey.
