So I don't know all the politics regarding the world cup but why host the world cup if you don't have the proper infrastructure? Did they think of this last second? Stadiums are not finished yet? You build two stadiums in a remote portions of the country, so afterwards it's a complete waste.

Also why isn't FIFA paying for some of this if they clearly have the funds?

I understand not wanting to have the same countries host events all the time, but if this is going to happen, whats the point? Might as well use those countries again.

Thankfully Olympics is also in Brazil so hopefully they can reuse the facilities again and gain some revenue out of it.
