Luckily the game easily holds at 60 FPS at 2560x1440 for me.
5120x2880 not so much, but still fine for screenshots. I imagine 4K would be perfectly playable, seeing as it's half the pixels of 5120x2880.
I'd have to agree. I'd expect Modor to be full of detail. But it's a lot of flat and blocky geometry. I suppose these are the sacrifices you make when you aim for 60 FPS on consoles.
The orcs look cool though. And the game is fun.
The animation work is probably the best I've seen in a long time. You can't see that in the stillshots.

The 980 is a beast.
So there's no way to play without the HUD on Shadow of Mordor? I know you can take it off in screenshots, but I mean in-game while playing. The mini-map makes the game way too easy.
Jim,
Wondering, what do you have for settings? Are you using DSR, or do you have custom res set? Also - windowed/full screen and high or ultra textures? (have a 980 as well)
My goodness, this game has aged nicely.

Shame the load times are so long. It takes a whole minute to load a 3-4 minute section.
In terms of composition, those are some shots reminiscent of the art book, Blunted. Great shots!
Post 1080p please
As soon as I saw this I instantly thought of Lost Izalith from Dark Souls 1.
